Just got back from a preview— wow 🤩

There’s so much to say about the park— it’s beautiful, it’s got amazing detail everywhere you look. They aren’t kidding when they said the wanted to put the park back into theme park with the hub area, Celestial Park.

The four worlds are each so well done. The biggest issue I see is two of them (Nintendo and Dark Universe) feel a little small. They will be packed the same way Hogsmeade Village is all the time. They are spectacular looking— so many great details just like the Potter areas in IOA & USF.

Monsters Unchained was impressive— so many animatronics, combined pretty well with screens. The queue is long and sets the mood well on the way in.

The Ministry of Magic area is beautiful. I thought for sure I was “Pottered out” with the existing lands, but the French version of the Wizarding World feels fresh and interesting. The streets and the shops and restaurants were really spectacular. The ride is not ready to open yet, but we got to go through the long, impressive queue. The detail of going through the Floo Network and into the Ministry is so well done, and the scale of the Ministry interior is breathtaking.

The first world we went into was How to Train Your Dragon and it is so colorful and fun. Great details everywhere you look, and it really captures the spirit of the movies. The coaster is a fun family ride (if a little short), and the Untrainable Dragon show was a real crowd pleaser.

The park is not finished but opening day is still two months away. I wanted to take pictures of so many things and photos are not allowed during these previews. I look forward to going back next week and seeing/doing more, and hopefully more will be finished by then. Next weekend is the media event, and I hope they can finish some of the rough edges before then.

Epic Universe really is well done, and you can see every penny of the $7 billion they spent on it. It’s a very different “vibe” than any other park in Orlando— a real evolution for Universal.

Universal just issued TMs another 8 tickets to attend more previews through April 16th. Now I get to go 3 more times, all of which are going to be open until after dark so we’ll get to see the lights and the fountain show!

So glad to be married to a Universal Team Member.

For anyone who doesn't want spoilers, I suggest staying off all social media! You can't open Facebook/Insta/Tik Tok/Reddit without a deluge of photos and videos now that the ban has been lifted after the media day.

Know it's a long shot, but I'll be visiting Universal Studios and IOA May 12-15 and staying at the Terra Luna. Is there any feasible, potential way the park will be open for some sort of preview that people may have access to tickets?

It's possible however with those dates so close to the grand opening, they could either have previews or the park may be closed in order to do last minute preparations for the official May 22 debut. Any operating hours before the grand opening is considered a technical rehearsal usually reserved for employees and media. Your best bet would be to keep an eye out for any announcements that may get you access to visit the park around those dates.

I think it's quite possible as a resort guest they'll have more days opening up before the grand opening.

Yup. I realize that if my trip was before May 8, I'd be able to get tickets... I'm considering moving my dates up a week to get the chance to visit, but timing doesn't work as well. Other option is to hope access will be allowed past May 8..

Helios, the park access and views are a game changer.
