Saw this on X, found the linked in post, and thought I would mention it here:

United Parks hired Eric Hunt who formerly worked with Universal Creative on the Nintendo projects at Epic.

In the comments of an X post the first thing that came to mind is he's probably being hired to scrub the Sesame theming from all the kids areas and Sesame Place:

I feel like the framing and traction of this tweet is blowing this out of proportion. Sure, he’s a great hire. But he’s not coming directly from Universal Creative.

Looking at his LinkedIn, he left Universal even before the COVID-19 layoffs. He was likely working on Mario Kart for Japan and not Epic.

I don’t expect United to give him any budget he needs to do anything great at the parks.
