Here's some pictures from the first show from this last Sunday.  The colder weather made the ice about perfect and gave the show a feeling of winter.

I saw the show 5 different times and have sat both up front and behind. I really like the show despite the problems with weather and early stumbles. I hope that the issues keeping the ice in usable shape will be less next year as I am assuming that the park has learned something as they seemed to be doing a better job with it later in the season. And of course most of the season this year was well above normal so it likely won't be as next year. I also hope that they can find some way to make the roof effects more visible to those sitting closer to the stage. All and all I thing Elvis and the rest of the cast preformed very well given everything that was working against them.

I have heard that Saturday night Carl went down to the show and basically said hey look we had unseasonably warm weather this year and we know that we didn't have as high powered equipment as we should have for the ice. He then assured them that they were already beginning the process of looking at what they need to upgrade to not have it happen again and that the would be purchasing that equipment soon.

It sounds like the park is committed to making this show better over the remaining years of the contract.

Just wanted to pass on a little bit of info that I am hearing about the show for this year. The first is that all but 4 of the adult skaters are back this year. The next little bit is that they hired new children for the child roles and that the new ones seem to be allot more comfortable and experienced on the ice. Lastly the ice is already up and the new equipment that they added is doing a much better job maintaining it even of the warmer days. Rehearsals are already under way with no major issues so far.

Sop it looks like they are on tract to improve from last year.

So who was the fill in skater at the beginning of CT? He was really good, as far as i’m concerned just as good as Elvis.
 
Vaun something not sure of his last name. I actually like him better then Elvis he just seemed have more energy in his set. The crowd was also much more into him then I seen in a while lots of oos and ahhs.
 
I told my wife the same thing, I thought he put on a better show. I thought it was interesting there was no mention that it was not Elvis that night, wonder how many people didnt realize it was him sincehe did somewhat resemble Elvis.
 
730 new year's eve is the last Twas that Night show. My understanding is there is no contract for next year so see it tonight or tomorrow or you might not have another chance. Sorry for the late notice just found out.

I'm at the park and they just announced that the shows are cancelled for tonight.

Which isn't surprising given how warm it is, the ice most likely isn't frozen enough to skate on.

Hopefully it cools down tomorrow otherwise the last show will have been last night.

No it's definitely ice. It's a not very thick layer of ice with plastic underneath.
