I feel like the severity and length of the impacts of COVID have sorta justified SEAS' draconian approach at the start of the pandemic (stopping all vendor payments, laying off nearly everyone, etc). If other chains knew what they were in for, I honestly believe that they would have behaved much more like SEAS did.

Sea may have actually benefited from having more investor influence with some of those investors looking at the bigger world and forcing them to address the bigger picture.

All these inspections are just another example of Big Government trying to keep God Fearing Americans from riding Pantheon.

You mean like how they don't require inspections in "developing countries"? Yeah you go take your chances there...

So I emailed SEAS and told them I am going to cancel my 2k$ family of 6 trip to discovery cove if they don't get Iron Gwazi, Ice Breaker, and Pantheon up and running. We are going to universal for a week and was going to discovery cove which gets us in free to Sea world and BGT for 14 days but if things don't change we have no reason to visit those parks again. Would rather go to fun spot.

Did you specifically mention Pantheon's opening as a non-negotiable prerequisite for your entire family's paid admission to the one Florida park and free admission to the other two Florida parks?

2K!! Wow that is some serious dough. I’m sure that SEAS will hop on getttong that multimillion dollar ride open so they they can get those money.

While individually @Coasting with Bri Guy's email sounds like a NAR story in the making, given all of the things we've seen discussed in other threads about how it feels like paid-for benefits aren't being given by the company across different parks, I'm really curious if there's going to be enough people with that same mindset that will actually cancel memberships/passes/vacations.

Right now it may seem like a drop in the bucket to lose a handful of guests, but I'm guessing the effects won't be really felt for another few quarters at the earliest.

Not saying that's a good pre-emptive reason to open all new rides with due haste if that's even possible, but really curious if there'd be longer-term losses to shareholders by waiting than any short-term losses if they opened now.

Totally understandable sentiment but I've also cancelled my pass for a bunch of reasons. Pushing out new rides dates, cancelling perks, SWO straight up refusing to honor stien club memberships all steins after march 2021, BGT forcing paid lockers and shuttering cubbies for even drink cups. if you wanna pinch pennies, I'll pinch your pennies.

Just read today that only 325 babies were named Karen in the US in 2020 according to the Social Security Administration…a steep Pantheon-like drop
But 325 means Fury, right? Karens are known for their fury...
