Yes.  I raised the same issue in the begining.  That is why I suggested it be a late afternoon/early evening thing and be treated like the concert series.  Spend the day at the park and end your visit with a professional production of X.

Upcharges are never received well where they never existed before. However, depending on the nature of the actors/production used, a donation box may be in order. Especially if the team members are local students/teachers or volunteers just trying to get noticed. As stated earlier in this discussion, there are tons of actors/drama students out there that just want to convey their material and gain experience.

I have a couple ideas. Maybe they could put together a 35min or so production, with cutscenes (on the patented BGW projectors of awesome) that explain what happens inbetween iconic scenes that are acted out. Not the full experience, but certainly some exposure to the source material for the uninitiated.
This sounds like what Universal does for HHN with Rocky Horror. They have the live performances doing the songs and the dances, and then have the movie on a projector with the introduction to the scene.

But this only really works if what you're acting out is really well known, like Rocky Horror, as they basically stripped (forgive my pun) the movie of everything except the songs.

Overall, I'd love to see a small 1 Act production that could be done in 30 minutes. I think it could work for the park.

I didn't get to go this year. didn't know they tried that this year. Sounds cool!

I don't know if they did it this past year or not. I do know it's something that has happened previously. (Also I've never been to HHN, I just like looking up things on youtube about Halloween events at theme parks.)

The Williamsburg Players right down the street from Busch could possibly be interested.Do their plays at their stage, then do a special performance at Busch or something,Both places would benefit each other

I've long wanted theatrical productions in the Globe.  I think it would be really neat to see touring troupes come through, but I think BGW could also pull off good seasonal productions on their own pretty easily.

My dream would be a combination of these two. I think it would be really cool if during the main summer season they used touring theater companies, allowing for diversity; the shows would change regularly for pass holders and frequent guests to check out.  Then for HOS and CT, BGW could host their own seasonally themed shows in the Globe, using the summer to prepare for them.  I think that would be using the theater to its full potential by providing several shows throughout the season, and I hope it's an option that Busch would consider.

I found a show for the Globe!  Washington Ballet.

I don't suppose they could do this exact thing, but I got the announcement for the annual Mock Trial at the Shakespeare Company and immediately thought it would be the perfect sort of "show" in the Globe.

Basically, they create a legal case from one of Shakespeare's plays and real lawyers, judges, and justices hold a mock trial.  The park might be able to team up with W&M or something.

Here is an article about last year's trial.  This year will be based on Measure for Measure.
