Echoing what others have said, this needs to be a water park addition, ideally multiple slides, and it needs to be higher capacity. One thing they’re lacking that would address all of that is a family raft slide (think 4 person tubes) paired with some additional 2 person tube slides or a couple of trap door-drop slides - just spitballing ideas that would fill gaps around what the currently have.

Is that a lot? Yeah, sort of, but they also haven’t added anything expensive in (by the time this would open) 4 years, which is roughly their cycle for higher-cost additions.

Crowd flow should also be a paramount concern now that the giant splashdown is gone - this is a tremendous opportunity to widen the boardwalk entrance or (less likely imo) add an additional entry point near where the tidal force bridge is. Again, given the crowds this plot needs to do a lot more than just add a couple of waterslides. Excited to see what they come up with

Good riddance. Bring me a big multi-slide tower in it's place - and body slides are a must, since this park has none.

Not convinced this is all we are getting for next season but it's a good start and can bring much-needed capacity to the Boardwalk. Also give them a chance to fix the grading on the walkway between the Boardwalk entrance and Midway, which should not dip down as much (if they want to add a Zamperla Air Race where the Wildcat Catering space is now, I'd be OK with that too).

100% yes. And TBH I think something with some shorter slides that can keep it more high capacity as well is an added must. A line eating body slide would help their capacity issues so much.

I’ll toss another small one out there:
Moving the bathrooms to be an ‘entrance’ to Boardwalk and moving Dispatch would help so much. I would move Dispatch over to where TF Dippin Dots are and put the patio between WCR and Fahr.

There's a lot they could do with that area. I'd like something like this (forgive me for not drawing all the slides in)

Agreed. Tried my best on my phone to draw out what I was explaining here:
IMG_1285.jpeg

Red - New Dispatch Pizza and patio
Blue - Each side is a changing room/“surf shop”/guest services
Yellow - Taller body speed slides (ditto on not drawing slides) with some mid height ones.
Purple - Relocated East Coast Burgers
Orange - New patio/chair/cabana area as part of the entrance
Light Blue - Twisted body slides on taller tower
Peach - Small scale slides to round out all heights of slides

I think both our proposals there do a good job of opening up and better defining the area. I think the old ride pad next to Lightning Racer (forget the name…Tiny Tracks?) would make a nice spot for that air racer.

I'm not one for water rides but I'll likely never get the chance to ride this, it's still sad to see an old ride go though.

They work with ProSlide mostly so maybe we could see like another tube slide complex with a couple speed slides

And then maybe if they wanna get crazy…..that new ProSlide Rapids attraction would be dope here

That would be a slam dunk. The rapids sections mean you can have multiple rafts in the flume at once and keep the lines moving while offering a slightly longer, satisfying experience. And it'd be marketable as hell.

I think another issue though is how much Hershey will spend on a single waterpark attraction. Most of the really cool and ideal attractions are expensive and not the kind of thing that seasonal waterparks attached to amusement parks tend to pay extra for.

I did also believe that a MammothBLAST + Double TornadoWave Hybrid Slide would be a good addition for a waterpark. Maybe someone eventually goes with that
