If it’s currently operating my guess is Chicken Shack. Easiest relocation because every little thematic change is necessary. CAG is very much a midway style feel so it wouldn’t be out of place. If it is chicken shack, that could open up that building for something for Jungle X/FoF… and I REALLY hope it’s a bathroom. That is the one thing that corner of the park desperately needs.

Heard the AC was busted in Chicken Shack while waiting for a burger. Of course, that was a week ago. Many things can change in a week. But with 4 food locations in/around Jungle-X, relocating one seems like a good way to make CAG feel a little more busy.

(Also, allows them to either open a new themed food location, or relocate a different one to spread the Jungle-X footprint.)

Back when it first opened and I had a dining plan, it used to be my favorite spot. Would love to pop in the park for a few hours for some rides & a nice bowl. But by the end of it's life, the place became rather nasty and they had nerfed the dining plan option so much that it just lost all appeal.

Hopefully whatever this new restaurant reshuffling can stick long-term. I didn't even realize Taco Shack A) existed and B) was removed in between my visits. Would rather them demo this old building and put something nice there, but alas.

I almost feel like these random closed “older” dining options that are closed or barely open are all in an effort to push people to the other (more expensive) options and they are choosing to do this so these new chef built menus are justified.

Agreed! Mac Bowl was great it's opening year. I remember going back a couple years later and was highly disappointed on how bad it got. It was dry and bland the last time I had it. Even to the point I didn't even finish it and ended up going somewhere else for food instead.

The entirety of Candy Apple Grove needs a major overhaul in the next decade or so. I hope whatever they do they either do it on the cheap with the intention of replacing it or they do a great job with an eye towards the future direction for the area.

I tried Mac Bowl several times and the Mac and cheese was always mushy. I only went a few times because my kid liked it, so I tolerated it, but it was pretty not good. And that includes the opening year. IMHO, it was never good.
