Any manufacturer can build track for Nessie. It doesn't necessarily have to be Vekoma. It just depends on whatever the cheapest bid is for the project.

I like the charm of the second chain lift, let’s you catch your breath and talk to your seat mate after doing the dark tunnel, and even though it’s dead ride time it’s still ride time nonetheless.
And my previous comment was more hoping they didn't make such an alteration as it'd remove some of the character of the ride
Totally agree. It also makes the coaster feel divided into distinct “acts”. You have the first “act” from the station through to the MCBR, you have second “act” with the tunnel, and then you have the third “act” with the buildup from the second lift through to the end of the ride.
Nessie always feels like more of an “adventure” to me than the average coaster. I suspect that that feeling is partly because of how the coaster traverses so many different areas of the park and so much distinct terrain, but I also think it has to with the fact that — compared to modern coasters that pretty much zip you along from start to finish — Nessie is a coaster with so many distinct acts throughout the ride.
I agree. As Nessie is a classic, leave it be and keep it running well. As in classic cars, resto-mods are awesome (classic cars with modern technology-engine, brakes, computers, tranny, etc.) but fully original classics are a jem of history.

To keep it running well, I believe we're going to see some great investment in Nessie over the next year. I'm very excited to see the love going into Nessie's upkeep.
I hope the park does something for Nessies 45th anniversary this year
Nessie is no longer listed as closed on the website and I saw that Blake kid tweet about his first ride of the season.
Yes it was open today! They are only running one train currently though. The other one is still with its cars apart next to the second lift hill.
Hopefully they get the 2nd train on before Spring Break crowds. One train ops during spring break will make for unnecessarily long lines and a poor guest experience.
The second train should be done very soon. The bodies are no longer in the field by Lift 2
How about the turn before the first loop too while we are at it, it's like someone forgot what radius they were creating
