Would be kinda weird if this situation were to occur and they took out the snap heading into the final brakes that can only have come from them having to realign the track at the last moment to make it work.

And smooth out the transition from first loop to the tunnel and remove the second chain lift. Figure out a way to keep it moving, like a tire lift to just keep you trucking through it.

I like the charm of the second chain lift, let’s you catch your breath and talk to your seat mate after doing the dark tunnel, and even though it’s dead ride time it’s still ride time nonetheless.

Totally agree. It also makes the coaster feel divided into distinct “acts”. You have the first “act” from the station through to the MCBR, you have second “act” with the tunnel, and then you have the third “act” with the buildup from the second lift through to the end of the ride.

Nessie always feels like more of an “adventure” to me than the average coaster. I suspect that that feeling is partly because of how the coaster traverses so many different areas of the park and so much distinct terrain, but I also think it has to with the fact that — compared to modern coasters that pretty much zip you along from start to finish — Nessie is a coaster with so many distinct acts throughout the ride.

I agree. As Nessie is a classic, leave it be and keep it running well. As in classic cars, resto-mods are awesome (classic cars with modern technology-engine, brakes, computers, tranny, etc.) but fully original classics are a jem of history.
I understood the original post. If they were going to make changes and I had my druthers. That’s what I’d do.

Hopefully they get the 2nd train on before Spring Break crowds. One train ops during spring break will make for unnecessarily long lines and a poor guest experience.

Is LNM still operating with one train ops today? Went to Both KD and BGW yesterday and it was far and away the longest wait of the day. That includes waiting for front row on Twisted Timbers, which was also only running one train.

crazy hearing that it's the longest wait when I've been used to it being almost a walk-on the times I've gone
