I'd really like to see Superman moved at this point. No idea where it would fit, and there's no way they spend money to relocate a whole massive B&M within the park. I just kinda hate where it is right now. I think El Toro looks so awesome as the main first impression of the park and Superman kinda ruins that.

As a whole, El Toro deserves a bit more of an imposing presentation from afar. It looks incredible walking up to it, and arguably even cooler from across the mine train pond, but my mind goes to Colossos at Heide Park. Toro is the better coaster, but when I was there in April, Colossos just had such a presence from almost everywhere in the park. I almost wish they'd leave the Ka plot be and but the 400 footer somewhere else (or just put in another elite coaster under 300 feet instead), but I know that's unlikely. Toro deserves to be more of a top dog then the park currently allows it to be.

my two cents is they should move the park entrance back. i know the whole main hub has been around since the beginning, but moving it back into the preferred parking area makes the park feel more coherent, allows you to use themeing to reduce the impact of superman, would allow for better pathways for park access to the peripheries of the park without such circuitious routes

I hope they bring back Jumbo Jet to replace Kingda Ka. If they stick to tradition and never run it, it will keep the maintenance costs down. ;)

Seriously, though, as much as I enjoyed Kingda Ka, I'm hyped to see what will replace it.
Didn't the Super Sidewinder used to be somewhere in that area? I wouldn't mind seeing that make a return, but I'm guessing that won't happen.

JACKSON, NJ — Jackson Township is gearing up for its annual Jackson Day celebration, and this year’s event will feature a special nod to the town’s amusement park legacy: a display of one of the now-demolished Kingda Ka roller coaster cars, once a crown jewel of Six Flags Great Adventure.

Ray Cattonar, a volunteer organizer for Jackson Township, confirmed the exciting addition, sparking nostalgia among locals and thrill-seekers alike.

“This is going to be huge,” Cattonar said. “There will be a photo station, with a large backdrop of the coaster and a VIP area for rollercoaster enthusiasts.”

A couple of retrospective thoughts after recent news.

1. It’s really unfortunate that Six Flags ripped out so many rides at Great Adventure and could not find a way to refurbish Kingda Ka with an LSM launch. Especially when Cedar Point not only is confirmed to be opening their LSM strata coaster this weekend, but they’re also opening a bonus roller coaster that they got because they’re Cedar Point.

2. The Six Flags America closing news hits hard. In the grand scheme of things, I am still grateful that we have a park that will hopefully be growing. I just hope Six Flags continues to invest in Great Adventure so that it never gets to the state of neglect that Six Flags America got to.

I don’t know if I’ve said it here yet but the Cedar Point situation really feels like the biggest slap in the face. I understand the whole “we want unique rides at each park” but this really could have been the exception. I mean I would argue Ka was the most famous non-Disney coaster in the world. Tearing it down for a new unique ride only works if the ride can somehow fill the massive shoes Ka left and nothing has given me the confidence that it will. I think Great Adventure will be fine in the end and better off for the merger but we’ll always look back at this as an all time blunder.
