is it just me or does the whole VR on coasters seem like a technology in search of an application?

I kind of thought that, but I'm pretty sure it's just the fad du jour. Remember when every park or mall had a temporary simulator ride in the late 80s/early 90s? I think it's the same thing. It's cheap enough to beta test but will probably prove to be nothing. VR might have it's place in video games and possibly cinematic experiences, but I seriously doubt in 5 years we'll all be wearing headsets while on roller coasters.

Europe in the Air, to put it in bluntly, was a horrible mistake. Hard to believe that this was a ride put together by the park before the Busch Entertainment sale. Battle for Eire is a MUCH BETTER replacement.

There, I'm done.

We'll have to see this season. Frankly, there was nothing to pull crowds to Ireland. Now, with FF, we'll see whether BfE can hold is own.

When I saw it's days are numbered I mean 5-6 years most likely. A similar time frame to EITA. It doesn't have really great ridership which could mean it closes sooner. If it did I would expect something to replace it rather quickly

Hmm, I'd love a source on that sort of claim. BfE seemed like a big deal. They even had actors playing Addie live for a year.

I doubt its doing the numbers they want though.

Let’s just say the person wears a name tag but no uniform....and the attraction may only see one more season of CT and HOS. I can’t give much more specifics than that......

I will say this, at least with Battle for Eire that I wasn't bored in the slightest. When I rode EitA back in 2015, there was very little people in the building so the line was practically a walk on with people being bored/confused when it was over. With BfE there was a 30-40 minute wait with a pretty long line when I rode it a few times last year so it did attract people to it, my first visit had people actually clapping.

Quite the difference I say. ?

I'm not sure how true this is, but I've heard that the original plan for EITA was to replace the current motion base with a flying theater and that due to the sale the budget for the attraction was considerably reduced.
