The flat ride attrition needs to stop. Over the past several years, we've lost the following:
Davinci's Cradle
Mach Tower
Battle for Eire
Curse of Darcastle
Eggery Deggery
Lil Whirlwind
Flying Machine???

None have been replaced. Sure, we've gotten a few coasters, but there needs to be balance with other rides. Flats help to eat up crowds and give ride opportunities to those that can't do coasters. Davinci's Garden used to be full of people all the time, now its just...sad.

You do realize the park just poured a bunch of money to keep this ride running, right? @Zachary mentioned it a few posts above. I genuinely don’t see a way to fully blame the park for this. They were doing their part and some more, there was just a larger ride-dooming issue that was found during the renovation.

Kevin had absolutely nothing to do with this closure. Really no one did except for time. Unfortunately, the money and effort going into its upkeep uncovered many reasons the ride needed to be retired. Even when all of that was discovered, it was still debated at length if more money should be used to keep it around.

The closure was the best move. It would've costed less to just buy another one.

I did get to ride this a few years ago and it was very fun. Sad to see it go, but it does bring a great opportunity to install new flats and give Da Vinci's Garden of Inventions a new sense of life and theming. Honestly, I would love to see the fountain to get a new statue of Leonardo Da Vinci himself, I'm surprised the park didn't do that when they built it back in 1980.

As I suggested above, I would love to see Flying Machine get replaced by the more modern version with the Tivoli Remix, which offers a similar ride experience but also more thrilling, in a practically identical footprint. Then place a new family friendly flat next door in the cradle plot.

My wife and girls were devastated hearing this we always ride it multiple times. my wife doesn't ride coasters this is probably her favorite ride. when we last rode it in July that noticeable click as it was slowing down turned into a very loud clunk.

Why is it that right before we get bad news on a BGW ride, someone on here always predicts it, gets downvoted, then turns out to be right? This is the third time in 3 years 💀

Flat rides aren’t that expensive as far as attractions go. Fine if this old ride needs retired, but it (and the others) should have been immediately replaced.

All they install is coasters these days. They are just chasing the same customers. No wonder financials are down.
