Yes, I meant Drachen Fire! I realized my clarity was lacking after I posted it. I would NEVER disrespect the wolf. :)

I am glad you posted this disclaimer.. otherwise the gloves would be off and I would unleash the fury of the cold stare that only few have seen. For those who were with me on Pass Member Preview night when I was belittled by the staff who were handing out lanyard pins... that is the look I am speaking of.

Well normally I wouldn't double post, but this may be the first time I've seen the old Schwarzkopf rumors confirmed. If anyone else has anything on what all happened before the contract was handed over to Arrow, I'd love to see it. It's one of those little-known and very mysterious details in the park's history that interests me a ton more than it probably should.

That is very good to know, because my grandmother talked about how the ride originally was too fast. At first, I found it hard to believe that 45 mph was "too fast", however considering the fact that it is a suspended coaster, that changes a lot. I wonder how different the ride would've been if Schwarzkopf built it. One thing I heard, is that they had to cut back a lot on the theming of the village. Going through the village, and past trees, was probably my favorite part of the ride, maybe even better than (gasp!) the drop over the Rhine River.

Didn't you say something about BGEscape's media being archived for this site?

I've been trying to get with Bryan for ages. He said he'd send us what he has and he'd be happy to let us rehost everything, but I get the impression the's extremely busy- I don't want to pressure him too much. I figured I might as well upload what I had though in the meantime.

I present to you and artist drawing of the rhine river drop/turn around on BBW. It has a little bit of info on the bottom, but nothing we don't already know. :)

^Wait, were the cars actually supposed to splash into the water at some point during planning? I know the cars actually plunged into fog after the drop, but I wonder if they were supposed to actually hit the water?

Nothing will ever hit the water unless it has special scoops that are built to take the impact. To great the effect they had water sprayers on the side that would turn on as the train passed over creating the effect of hitting the water.

Remember that artist renderings are never correct.

The coloring on those support columns is confusing. Some reddhish, others greyish brown like we were accustomed to.

They are probably worn out like the statue of liberty. They were probably used to be reddish brown and then faded to greyish brown over the years.
