I don't think you'll see anyone saying that they shouldn't do any rides. The argument was that rides aren't the main reason why people attend these Christmas events which is why they don't need to push themselves to open more than they can.

As long as Cedarfair corporate feels that rides will take a back seat for the Winterfest events across the park chain, then you will have to expect a couple coasters and 1/2 dozen flat rides in operation during this time. If most CF parks with Winterfest get slammed attendance wise, I could see a 3rd coaster being put in operation and a couple more flat rides added as well. I just don't see a greatly expanded ride selection for Winterfest in the near future.

I think we will be under less strict Covid regs by mid/late June; given a better vaccination schedule and rollout this spring. By fall, KD could be mostly back to normal operations. I would expect Haunt to return and a full Winterfest event.

I believe Taste of the Season was a one time event that was food focused with 35%-40% of the normal lights/decorations/entertainment of Winterfest. Who knows, maybe KD will incorporate some sort of food tasting event within the 2021Winterfest event or some of those food items might be on a menu in a park restaurant this year.
