A Vekoma flyer would be a very interesting solution for BGW though, no? Vekoma and SeaWorld say their partnership will extend beyond the SWO darkride. I'd love to see the first-of-its-kind-in-the-USA Vekoma flyer go to BGW.
I do think some sort of flyer makes a lot of sense at BGW given the market is completely devoid of them until you get up to Great Adventure now that SFA is gone. I agree about the B&M avoidance though for sure.

Now that I've had a chance to review the survey...
Bavarian Adventure: This looks very reminiscent of Disneyland's classic Fantasyland rides, and I'm here for it. As a year round park in an area that does get colder weather, more indoor attractions are always a good thing, and this would provide the park with an all-audiences indoor attraction.
Tallest Coaster in Mid-Atlantic: Could BGW benefit from a giga? Absolutely. Is a giga really the coaster type the park needs most right now? I'd probably say no. To me, this seems more like a good concept that would be a better fit at pretty much any other park in the chain.
Herr Ticktock's Workshop: I loved the first dark ride concept, and I think I love this one even more. While I find screen based shooters to be a bit meh, this looks like it's mostly practical sets, and interactive attractions of that nature are something I seek out at parks even if the quality isn't the best. This also feels the most developed of the survey's concepts.
World's Tallest Hybrid: This is by no means a knock on RMC, but one of their rides at BGW just feels a bit pedestrian for the park. With the exception of Tempesto, every other coaster at the park provides a fairly unique experience even amongst others of its type, and I'm just not sure a massive RMC would be able to do that. Would it become the best coaster in the park? Probably, but I don't know that a massive new coaster is really needed at the park right now.
Italian Boat Adventure: I consider Pompeii one of the better water rides among regional parks, so redoing it as what appears to be a water coaster would only make it better. The concept art for this one is a bit funky, though, so it's hard to get a read on exactly what it might be.
Italy Gardens Area: If BGW is picking only one concept from this survey, I'd be a bit disappointed if this was the one they went with. If they're picking multiple concepts, I'd be extremely disappointed if this wasn't chosen. Many parks have a shortage of flat rides (especially modern flats), and this looks like a pretty nice combination of offerings.
Steel-Water Hybrid: Honestly probably a better coaster addition for the park than the giga or RMC, but unless the cost savings are significant I think redoing Pompeii as a water coaster would be much better than simply adding a more basic one elsewhere. BGW really doesn't need a fourth water ride.
TLDR, my overall thought is...
-If they're picking only one thing from this list, I'd hope for one of the dark ride concepts and slightly prefer the interactive one.
-If they're picking two or three things, I'd have the flat package as second choice and the Pompeii makeover as third choice.
-I'm not really feeling any of the coaster choices here for the park. In my mind, among the common models the best choices for the park's next coaster would be either a full size wooden coaster or a spinning coaster (either extreme or family-friendly).

If a Vekoma flyer is even remotely possible it’s my new top choice. FLY is a religious experience.
Plus the loading style necessitates an indoor station and dark ride scene to hide that ugly ass sideways track

I got the survey again and was rejected before actually getting to these concepts. Twice I've only gotten the generic metrics.
Tormenta will 100% rattle from day 1 and the park will tell you its normal.
B&M has flooded BGW and we are good for years.
I was one of what felt like very few Drachen Spire defenders but turning back to it only after seeing success with a similar ride at GADV would feel kind of lame. A big part of Drachen Spire’s appeal at the time to me was that there was literally nothing else like it.
Personally, I'd love a Mach Tower replacement. I love drop towers, and I think they're definitely missing one of them now. It looks good in the skyline as well, and having it over 300ft would be nice.
Totally agree that SFGAdv's project has completely eaten Drachen Spire's lunch. I do think a similar, entirely-unique, preferably-crazy-looking attraction would still be a good goal for BGW though. Not sure exactly what manufacturers have cooking in their prototype pipelines, but in my optimal world, BGW would be knocking on all of their doors and asking what the craziest ideas they can build currently look like. BGW has a huge roster of great coasters, but it still lacks that somewhat gimmicky, preferably-intense, "what the fuck is that"-like ride. An RMC hyper hybrid in the year 2028+ doesn't really feel like it checks that box anymore. A B&M giga definitely doesn't.
I believe BGW would be best served by thinking further outside the box. What's the most intense Vekoma flyer Vekoma can build? Can S&S deliver a full-sized Axis in a few years? Why hasn't anyone taken Intamin up on another super intense spinning coaster—especially since they can reportedly invert? Can S&S build a new 4D coaster at an acceptable price point?

Exactly. Pantheon sorta scratches that itch and I guess Verbolten will with the drop track synced to animatronics but we don't have anything truly unique. All our models exist elsewhere. We need a prototype again.

Yes. I prefer the RMC hybrid. That would be the most unique and thrilling addition to BGW’s coaster repertoire for me. I liked the flats for The garden of inventions, though I don’t think this should be a future addition to the park. This should be a straight up mandatory replacement . Number three for me was a Reno/revamp of Pompeii. Also additions to the zoological dept., shows, exhibits.
Being wet on a hybrid roller coaster doesn’t sound fun for me. When I want to get wet, give me a water ride. The kids rides would no double be good for that demo. But I’m past that with kids of my own in their teens.
I did take the time to lengthily explain to them how they must improve their customer service in the restaurants and shops, food quality, value, and expansion of sit down food options. But praised recent additions and thematic improvements.

Tampa has much greater needs than another thrill coaster. Especially if they lose Sesame Street.

Hard agree. If BGT was still... you know, in good shape and not being run into the ground, I'd say it'd be a great fit - and to be fair, I would welcome it. Could help turn the park around... but they'd need a hell of a lot more than just that.
Thinking a bit, none of the UPR parks right now are, IMO, in prime positions to get a giga... aside from, perhaps, Williamsburg. It is, at bare minimum, the closest to "ready" for a giga in the chain. It was mentioned previously that the area is in a bit of a tourism downslide; but the park itself is, to my understanding, the best-kept in the chain. A 300-footer that, unlike its neighbor, actually works when it's supposed to and doesn't want you dead could do a lot for the park and the area - hopefully and ideally paired with that Italy flat ride package.
I think it would be rather foolish to invest any more in coasters at that park before they invest in other types of attractions. All they have been doing over the last decade is coasters (plus attraction removal without replacement) and attendance is declining.
It’s also foolish to survey the current customers because they are coming to the park. It’s the people that aren’t coming to the park but they should be building attractions for.
While this is still one of the better parks for non-thrill riders with its transportation rides and live entertainment, they haven’t added anything new for those customers at all. These type of people make up the majority of society.
A good business plan expands the customer base instead of limiting it.
They need to invest in da Vinci’s garden regardless because the neglect is obvious and not a good look. Eye appeal goes a long way with a theme park. Flat rides are not a huge investment and increase capacity, thus in increasing the quality of the customers experience.

@Thriller, I completely agree re: Da Vinci's garden. The wrongs must be righted almost regardless of whether flats are or are not the best immediate choice in a vacuum. The area's current condition is a blight on the park and needs to be fixed ASAP. In my opinion, it has already taken too long.
As for your broader case, does your opinion change any if 2027 is a wide-audience, non-coaster, indoor, story-based attraction?
'27 is a given. I want the flats for '28. I think by '29 I'll be pretty ready for a major thrill coaster though.

That’s the kind of attraction that should have priority over any roller coaster at this point. Plus any indoor attraction increases the operating viability of the park.
