There are multiple products on the market that can replicate a spillway drop now too—easy Log Jammer nostalgia win.
Kennywood has so many “misses” with rides it’s absurd IMO. The biggest being Steel Curtin now almost effectively blocks them from using the rally east that they spent some big bucks on. They are very close to the put a coaster out into the parking lot or remove attractions to make room for new ones. Raging Rapids, Pittsburgh Plunge, and (whispers) Skyrocket may be at the top of that list.

If you get rid of Exterminator (which, IIRC, is rumored to be on the chopping block??) and Pittsburgh Plunge, you've got a pretty major plot of land to work with.. especially if you're willing to play with the ravine. A terrain Vekoma invert would go nuts.

Exterminator HAS to be on the chopping block. It was aging quickly when I worked on the ride back in the early 2000s as this ride sees far more cycles than it should.

I'd hate for that section to be completely changed, but maybe it's time. Move the whip as well and put a new correctly built cover over top again.

Use the exterminator building for an indoor/outdoor attraction like nightflight expedition. Purely indoor would help with the holiday time though.

Since that isn't on the table right now. Family invert would be nice, double the length of BBW

The issue with taking out Pittsburgh Plunge is now you only have 1 water ride in a rapids ride. On hot days the line for PP is still huge, and honestly if they ever decided to get rid of Plunge it needs to be replaced with a new flume, not a coaster.

Not using the ravine to the east when they took down Log Jammer was the biggest mistake leading to this issue IMO.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think Exterminator is one of the better spinning coasters out there. The theme is goofy, sure, but it’s a really fun ride—and it usually has a pretty solid line.

If anything, I’d rather see them fix it up than get rid of it. Clean up the queue so it flows better and maybe add or improve some of the theming inside. It already has a lot going for it.

Yep, they completely destroyed the park with that decision. Maybe I'll get to ride the steel curtain this year finally.

The rapids have been rumored to be on the chopping block for ages too. Obviously the 3 wooden coasters won't go anywhere unless there is some sort of catastrophe. The old mill is also safe.

I think one possibility to get into the ravine would be if the sky rocket is removed and the pavilion area is moved as well.

Maybe the giant building in Steelers country can go?

That’s kinda my hope TBH. A friend near there also proposed a couple of unique solutions:

Do a Hades360 thing and tunnel under the road into the parking lot.

Build their own incline/elevator system to move a fair number of backstage items down there to open up space.

Bite the expense bullet: Build a parking garage and help fund moving the road to claim new land for the park.

a new modern ride system would be nice (forward/backwards seating), banked turns. It's been a while since I've been to kennywood, but I can't imagine they upgraded anything on it. 1 to 2 people were required to "catch" the cars and reset them. Disney upgraded theirs to auto reset. Being indoors has helped this ride last.

Wild Mouse at cedar point is awesome IMO. Laugh track is also great.
