The scheduling issue is super stupid. No idea why they would ever have thought ending the signature nighttime stage show right at the start time of the drone show (which is best viewed from the opposite side of the park, mind you) makes an ounce of sense. Even if they added a 15 minute buffer in there, that would go a long way.

As for the drone show itself, they did a really great job with the custom drone choreography they made. Love the park's rides being represented in the sky like that and the designs were also just very well executed, even ignoring the subject matter.

That being said, the show is too short, lacks any power, emotion, or any sort of crescendo or resolution, and 30% of it feels like 'merican jingoism for some reason. Some drones go up, they do some cool park designs, they do a few cheesy 'merica designs, and then the drones go away—all in the span of about 6 to 7 minutes.

I've seen a good handful of drone shows now both in and out of parks and this was by far the worst—not because the designs aren't great and not because the setting is subpar (the opposite on both of those accounts!), but because it is hardly even something I would identify as a show. It's a slightly over 5 minute tech demo with nothing else going for it.

I am a big believer in drones for BGW instead of fireworks—but BGW is gonna have to do better than this. People around me were left just sorta baffled when the show ended. An employee literally had to tell people the show was over. Not good.

Been to a few lately that just have them say good night now.

I’m just happy we have a creative soundtrack that sounds original and it actually has something to do with the park and the show, they’re not just playing generic radio bullshit. The past decade of end of night summer shows have been extremely generic

I saw that some people on social media are upset at the Kinetix and drone show times since they can’t watch both. I guess they’re at far ends of the park or the Kinetix show runs past 9?

What are y’all’s thoughts on changing one of the show times?

@Zachary and I tried to do both. We speed walked from the RPT to the bridge between Bolt and San Marco. The drone show started while we were walking past der Wirlbelwind. So, we managed to see most of it, but not all.

So, yeah, either Kinetix should start/end sooner or the drone show should begin at 9:15.
