I bet Kingsmill is going to love that.
Better than fireworks, much quieter.
My understanding is that Kingsmill is more the happy for drones over fireworks.
Not sure if it will completely replace them but my understanding that it should at least reduce the amount.
Probably safer for BGW…. Fireworks catch more on fire than drones do….
But the yearly fire has become a BGW tradition.
looks like the drone show will be visible in octoberfest. And the best viewing area will be the big bad wolf plaza

They launch the drones from Pantheon's field. Line for the ride cuts off at 7:30 with the ride running till the line clears or 8:20 when it shuts down for prem for the show. It looked like the more distant rides continued to run during the show.

New Kent County released a warning statement yesterday that they are looking at conditions but that their fireworks ob the 3rd are zt risk of cancelation do to drought conditions. BGW's desision to move to drones appears to very well timed.
But fires at BGW are part of the experience!
I saw that some people on social media are upset at the Kinetix and drone show times since they can’t watch both. I guess they’re at far ends of the park or the Kinetix show runs past 9?
What are y’all’s thoughts on changing one of the show times?

One is at the Royal Palace the other is over the Rhine between Verbolten abd Pantheon. Kinetix ends 10 minutes before the drone show. Easiest solution is move Kinetix up by half an hour.
