Rolling Thunder would almost certainly still be around in some form, I-BOX conversion or not, if legacy SF wasn’t hilariously awful at maintaining wooden coasters at Great Adventure.

They couldn’t be bothered to do more than (dogshit) patch work on what many consider to be the greatest wooden coaster ever built, of course they allowed RT to reach a condition that caused RMC to essentially say “lol no.”

I do often wonder if it might’ve stood a chance even in its condition if RMC wasn’t such a fresh company at the time. 2013 RMC may have been unprepared to take on such a decrepit structure, but by 2018, it might have still been unlikely, but possible.

On the Hurricane Harbor side: Paradise Pizza & Grill looks great, and every slide appears to have a fresh coat of paint with the exception of Tornado + a couple of the newer additions. This painting project actually started last year, but I didn't expect it to be this extensive — they really went all out with it.

If you've been to NJ's HH at any point during the past decade, you know how faded many of the colors were. The vibrancy makes everything feel brand new.

Not be being at work and cackling at this comment! Honestly I think that they are going to quickly update this park to make it look the best they can for the upcoming seasons. Fingers crossed that a Nitro repaint is included in that. With that also being said, I personally think that Mine Train was fast tracked due to the amount of photos and videos of project purple that are going to be going around very soon from the iconic photo spot that once included, skyway, mine train, toro, and ka. Plus Frontier Adventures needs/still needs an update. Hopefully a new flat or coaster will come next to this section.
