Concept StarFlyer & NebulaZ For Adventure Pier

[New Ride Rumor Mill]

The 2 brand new rides that could replace the skycoaster inside adventure pier located at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, NJ are both the Funtime StarFlyer and the Zamperla NebulaZ.

Both of the rides themes and names:

The Funtime Starflyer’s Name will be called the Shore Flyer, it will be themed to a lighthouse, the colors will be red and blue, the tower will stand at 205ft, with speeds up to 40-45mph, it will feature LED lights, and it will also feature the upcharge harness option.

The Zamperla NebulaZ Name will be called Tentacle Twist, it will be themed to a octopus, it will have arm rotation speeds up to 13rpm, it will feature 4 rotating arms.

There is also gonna be a brand new food stand alongside with the 2 brand new rides.

Both of those new rides including the new food stand are gonna be located in adventure pier.

@New Ride Rumor Mill, if you can clarify whether this is something you've heard, something you've seen evidence of, or just something you'd like to see happen, that would be much appreciated.

If you have any evidence relating to these claims and you just can't share that evidence publicly, that's perfectly reasonable, but it is gonna be hard for anyone to gauge the credibility with no context. If you'd like, feel free to send me a DM and I'm happy to review whatever you may have privately and then relay my impression of the credibility of the rumor publicly. Fully up to you though.

If this rumor is credible, both seem like a good fit for Morey's and the harness option on the SkyFlyer, in particular, seems like a perfect Skycoaster replacement.

Just to be clear, "A rumor [...] is an unverified piece of information circulating among people, especially without solid evidence." Per your DMs to me, this is not unverified information that has been circulating amongst a community, this is an idea you came up with. Hence, not a rumor. It's just an idea you have—a concept.

It's a perfectly reasonable pitch probably? I haven't checked available space and whatnot, I don't know if Morey's has height limits or other development restrictions that would prevent something like a 200+ foot SkyFlier, but , at first glance, good ride additions for Morey's, the SkyFlyer harness prototype is a clever replacement for a Skycoaster, and a NebulaZ is a visually appealing ride that is likely very well suited for a pay per ride park.

So yeah. Fine ideas. Just... not a rumor... and I don't know why the original post was written in such a way to sound otherwise (OP has since edited his original post, for the record).

Regardless of the rumor's credibility, which I don't understand your motivations here, I have a couple points to make;

• 205 foot Starflyer would be a huge deal and not something they can just plop down. Wildwood has height ordinances, the tallest structure in town is the park's Skyscraper booster at 160 feet, the Giant Wheel, and a 10-storey multi-use building. If they are trying to put that ride on the pier we would hear about it from the town first and it'd be a big process. Also the "harness system" isn't a thing that exists on Starflyers.
• Adventure Pier intentionally differs less than Mariner's and Surfside as it features mostly "challenge park" stuff over amusement rides, and there's been no indication or need for that to change. A Starflyer would breathe new life in there but a NebulaZ doesn't make sense. Plopping down both would mean they're trying to change up their business model, which Morey's doesn't really do.

If anyone wants a legitimate Morey's future project, last year RFP's went out to eventually maybe replace two of their aging body waterslides. And the Giant Wheel has been seeing all sorts of mechanical overhauls.

It was a prototype that was tested, yeah? I don't know if we've heard anything since, but presumably something like that could still be in development, no?

I’m still reading, but only the starflyer will best be suitable for adventure pier and not the NebulaZ don’t you agree?

This isn't RollerCoaster Tycoon where anyone can just plop down a ride anywhere room exists. Public approval, significant infrastructure questions, etc would all need to be answered before we can know if it's feasible.

That being said, setting all of that aside, at first glance, yes, a StarFlyer (maybe even including an upcharge harness option) seems like it would be a great addition to Adventure Pier on paper.
