It was multiple injuries, so i think that mostly rules out it being something in the air like this or a flying phone.I haven't watched a POV of this. Are there any covered sections/tunnels where something could have potentially fallen onto the rider from above? Speakers/lighting/effects equipment, etc.?
From page 17 of the GUIDE FOR Safety and Accessibility:I don’t know what effect this has if any, but apparently the rider was paraplegic. If I was Universal, I’d certainly want to put vest restraints on certain seats and designate those for riders without full control of their extremities. Most likely all seats get vest restraints :/
That or limiting access to disabled riders.
I fail to understand why they used the word "should", "must" would be much more appropriate here.RIDER REQUIREMENTS
• You should be able to independently: (1) maintain an upright
position, (2) support your torso, neck, and head while absorbing
sudden and dramatic movements, and (3) brace your body with
at least one natural upper extremity.
Not really a laughing matter :/It’s a shame Universal is going to have to return all those “I survived Stardust Racers” shirts they ordered.
Some people drink, some people cry, but I laugh the pain away. Not really a laughing matter :/
I’ve always cringed when parks sell “I survived…” shirts for any coaster. It’s like they’re tempting fate and in bad taste. It’s a shame Universal is going to have to return all those “I survived Stardust Racers” shirts they ordered.
I bought a cringy tacky “I conquered project 305” shirt last year because it was literally the ONLY piece of merch with i305 on it“Conquered” is probably a better term for that which Six Flags uses but as a person that’s done hundreds of coasters it feels silly to have a shirt that says that for one ride. Like imagine an enthusiast wearing a “I conquered Banshee” shirt. Like oh? Great job man you rode a B&M invert in Ohio!
Considering the state backed up Universal in saying the ride functioned as intended and all proper procedures were followed, I don't think the comments in that video should really be trusted. There's nothing to support it besides the statements of one influencer and who knows if he actually was an eyewitness or is repeating hearsay. Local TV should be more careful in Orlando where clout chasers will do or say pretty much anything.Strange the only place you are hearing off the wall statements is from an influencer recording with the Disney gondolas in the background. I sincerely hope he is making up stuff, either way it’s terrible that this tragedy happened.
The problem is going to be some lawyer stating when they file the lawsuit " you shouldn't have let a person in a wheelchair or with a preexisting spinal injury on the ride"Considering the state backed up Universal in saying the ride functioned as intended and all proper procedures were followed, I don't think the comments in that video should really be trusted. It's already odd to me that it wasn't until a day or so after the autopsy results were announced that we learned the guy had a pre-existing spinal injury and used a wheelchair. Not saying that absolves Universal or the ride of any fault but that's important information missing from earlier reporting.
The other issue parks have is being sued over the ADA. The best defense for the park is to give enough information so people can make an informed decision to make their own decisions. The problem is going to be some lawyer stating when they file the lawsuit " you shouldn't have let a person in a wheelchair or with a preexisting spinal injury on the ride"
Unbelievably stupid, but some people will never miss an opportunity to chase $$$A lawsuit was filed yesterday by a woman claiming that the ride caused head and neck injuries.

Settlement reached for woman who said she was injured on Epic Universe ride
Her complaint says Stardust Racers caused her head to shake violently and slam against her seat's headrest.www.wesh.com
Not to mention from I have seen in Florida, 3 out of every 5 billboards you see is for an accident attorney, and that is about 80% of the ads on local TV too.Unbelievably stupid, but some people will never miss an opportunity to chase $$$
