Splash Zone on the Boardwalk Has Closed For Good

Didn’t know really where to put this but this news is rather sudden and abrupt to shore goers. This place would often get busier than Morey’s Peirs water park.

Last time I was there was probably 20 years ago, Seaside Heights was always my favorite beach town in NJ, but definitely unexpected. Was actually thinking of this place somewhat recently, what a damn shame.

Local scuttlebutt is the land is going to be a hotel with more boardwalk shops...just what was asked for (please note that's said with sarcasm).

My inlaws are about to retire full time in WW, into the condo they own with my wife (pre marriage), and they are saying it looks like there's a significant amount of change happening at the boardwalk this year and that there's some other local businesses near the boardwalk that are starting to give indications of maybe pulling out too. Sounds like the 'downtown' of WW is going to start to get pinched by the money of NWW and the Crest running out of real estate.
