The hyper option is really odd to me. From what I know the Morgan hypers are incredibly reliable so I can’t imagine Superman going anywhere, but having two traditional airtime focused hypers in the same park is pretty weird to me.

I think out of these options I’d go with the extreme spinner first, but the thrill glider would be a pretty cool fit there too.

I have to wonder if the Xtreme Spinner is a clone or scaled-down version of the Great Adventure coaster? If they are willing to talk about 300-400 foot rides in this park, it would line up with that logic.

(The only new concept that seems foreign to me is the DC-themed coaster that looks like a Vekoma SFC - maybe this is a recycled concept or will pop up somewhere else in 2027-2028, which is around the timetable that a new ride for Mexico should begin construction).

Yes, I agree. Many of these options seem to be improvements on rides currently operating in the park.

Hyper Coaster- Morgan Superman
300-400 foot drop tower - Kilimanjaro
Xtreme Spinner- Joker (a bit of a stretch)
DC Themed Launched Coaster (Inverted)- Batman the Ride SLC

The only truly novel option would be the glider. This survey leads me to believe that the park may be looking to remove an existing ride to replace it with an upgraded version. Honestly if the town gave so much pushback on the proposed tilt coaster, I'm surprised they are looking to add such large options.

It is interesting to me to think that Six Flags is polling a DC themed ride. Perhaps they are wondering how much pull a theme like that has. However, in order to do a truly controlled survey, they should have just polled the coaster style without a theme as the theme may influence a participant's choice. Likewise they should do a separate survey solely about new themes for rides to get an idea for what theme is most appealing.

While I have been to Mexico twice to see Our Lady of Guadalupe, I have not been to this park. Depending on what type of ride they get next, I may have to make a third trip to Mexico!

Six Flags Mexico sill leans into he DC theming very hard, they even still do regular and multiple DC face character meet and greets (very much like the ones on Superhero Island at Isles of Adventures, except DC). This extends to the merchandise department, it is all DC, lonely toons, or Holloween (I did go during the Festival Del Terror). I checked every gift shop for a park or ride branded merchandise, and failed to locate any.
I would have paid anything for Superman El Ùltimo Escape merchandise if it were offered.

Ok I dont think sfm is gonna get sold of any more
I don't think that was ever a question. Mexico City was identified to shareholders last year as the most populous metro that the merged chain has a park in, far outdoing New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Chicago. The park is year round and has very good attendance numbers.

As a bit of completely unrelated trivia, it's also the only park in the chain where the local RMC pulls the highest ridership numbers. Not easy to do when you're up against a robust Morgan hyper that runs multiple 36 passenger trains, props to the crew for presumably cranking out trains.

The Shoot The Chutes in the DC area was apparently retired sometime in 2024. They were originally prepared to flatten some surrounding buildings as well to accommodate Siren's Curse. That's still not an easy area to work with if city government will not allow them to fell even a single tree.

A quick crash course in local politics, from like 2 minutes on the internet; Six Flags Mexico mostly built itself up during the two-decade period that the PDR was in power. They've fallen out of popularity and were recently dissolved at a national level. Since right before COVID it's been the more left-leaning MORENA holding municipal office and to my understanding they're harder on the private sector when it comes to messing with environmental. There was an administration change in 2024 shortly after Siren's Curse was moved elsewhere and the Family Boomerang ordered (replacing a wide concrete area), but I don't get the vibe that much will change soon. On the other hand I fully get the impression that Six Flags would invest more here if they could.
