So..

Are we not even going to get an announcement this year?
well, what's with the announcement in the jersey coaster adventure panel?

and also, is it just me or six flags wanted to hurt great adventure like they did with Kentucky kingdom so they can pleased New Jersey (who at this point had become the next Kentucky state fair board)

feel free to delete this comment if this sounded political

Was 2027 always the plan since Ka was supposed to be open this year and they were hoping Mack (assuming its them) could come thru sooner but couldn't? And or just saying 2026 to shut ppl up?

This seems odd considering how much construction has ramped up and its not even August. Had this memo been released a few weeks ago, it would have made more sense. Considering Ka's construction time line, its surprising to me that they wouldnt be able to get the Mack Tower up and running by Memorial Day based on whats been done already. Unless this isnt a Mack Tower coaster...

I know nothing about construction though so I am sure there other factors.

Announcing this soon after actually teasing the Ka replacement on socials the other day is deranged behavior.

It feels more and more like the chain expects a bloodbath in 2026 and they're almost writing off the upcoming season.

Really feels like there must be a five alarm fire in the corporate offices... 😬

Look I don’t like what corporate is doing but this isn’t good for anyone. At the end of the day, Ka is gone and we are stuck with these corporate leaders. It’s in our best interest to support them so they see the value of following through on their investment plans, because if they don’t, Great Adventure will either be a low tier park in the chain or corporate may see the park as expendable….land in New Jersey isn’t cheap

I mean they said "debut in spring" and "beyond 2026".... Which considering construction started just sounds absurd. Maybe a stretch to get it opened by April 2026, but not by June 2026.

Wondering if they are just covering their asses ala Steel Curtain season-passholder lawsuit and hope to have it open by mid-2026.

Also noticeable is they removed "launch" from the latest PR release.

This is what I think is happening

Still inexcusable imo

well, what would happen if that's the case?, sell it to another park chain (seaworld would buy it)

No, I can’t see another chain coming in, Sea World is a mess and Herschend just made a massive acquisition. The park would get the Astroworld treatment

so, they going to demolish the park, THAT WOULD MAKE NEW JERSEY THE NEXT DETROIT, HOUSTON & POSSIBLY DENVER, New Jersey had become a joke

One theory that I have for this delay, was that they realized that this coaster they were originally putting it, wouldn’t live up to Kingda Ka’s standards. So this may actually end up being a full circuit coaster.

But who am I kidding, this is Six Flags after all.
Possible but from what we’ve seen so far in terms of construction it doesn’t look like it

The update video Antonio posted today shows footers in a formation that doesn’t really seem to resemble what you’d expect from a shuttle coaster.

If this is really going to be a change of plans and we’re getting a full circuit coaster out of this, then the delay is 1000% worth it.
