Launches a complete redesign, has no disclaimer at top of forum about a redirect or on the front page of BGWFans.com

Really, REALLY poor communication of the redesign/rebranding.

We're working on it. Trust me, there's a circus going on behind the scenes. Everything should be properly announced sometime tomorrow or pulled due to bugs before that. ;)

Haha, no communication AND a circus behind the scenes?! I'm REALLY reassured now :) Just saying, if there is ever a redirect involved communication needs to be the FIRST thing considered.

You're right. Something should have been said. Originally the idea was to have everything up, post the (already done) post on the site, and then put a notice at the top of the boards. Unfortunately, things haven't gone so smoothly. Regardless, we should have posted something at the top. Fixed.

I'd like to see the "see todays posts" or at least "see new posts" link back up at the top. I HATE browsing though all the page to find the posts.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!?

Other than that listen to Carter :p

I'll add those things to the list. This mobile theme issue is quite a major one. Would you guys rather have the theme pulled until the mobile theme works or would you rather go without the mobile theme for a bit?

I already go without the mobile on my iphone, so I'm indifferent.

Basically, the site is getting a new refreshed look, while at the same time is trying to expand to more than just BGW but to as many parks as possible, which is more like a creation of an entire network of sites. So instead of just BGWFans, we are ParkFans, a network of multiple park specific websites.

Ideally, I think the goal is to have locals run their own sites for their home park and then have all the sites connected at one core location, which so far seems to be BGWFans Forums.

Or at least, that is what I am getting from all the changes. Am I right?

i mean, doesn't the iphone app or at least the android app use just the mobile browser for the forums. It'll definitely clunk those up if they rely on that. and the mobile site is just easier to read on a phone. up to you though zach

Just curious, are there any plans to join forces with SFAFans? As in share similar site designs, forum designs, etc? I noticed they could use some assistance, and it would help add to the whole ParkFans theme that we seem to be heading for. I mean, have their forums redirect to here with SFA being listed as an officially covered park, and helping them build up their site, while they get info, help them update the site occasionally. Basically a merger of the two sites into a network?

Party Rocker - I'm the admin for SFAFANS. I appreciate yours and everyone else's support of the site. Zachary approached me about merging the forums together but for some personal reasons, I'm not comfortable with doing that. Nothing against BGWFANS, it's members or the BGWFANS admins.

I've questioned the decision I made since the day I announced I was closing the forums. I've been thinking about what to do with the site and I may try a fresh approach that I've never seen done in the enthusiast community before. Keep checking the site and our Facebook page for updates over the winter for an announcement. If you have some thoughts I would I could do differently, please feel free to send my a private message, I would be interested in hearing them.

Of course.. That's if we all survive the Frankestorm. :)

Lack of participation was a big reason. I draw a lot of motivation and energy for running the site when there is an active ongoing discussion. Kind of hard to do that when your only averaging five posts per day and less than 40 active members over a two month period. The number of posts have significantly dropped over the past few years.

If you guys want to talk with me about SFAFANS, please private message me. I don't want to hijack this thread or take it off topic.

Just so you know, all over the site on posts their are underlined words that when you scroll over the word, an ad pops up. there's a few of them in the Wizarding world phase 2 thread. IDK if that's supposed to happen.

That's on your end. You must have an addon or something that's advertising though web pages. Definitely wasn't us.
