Thoughts on the notion of moving FoF attractions to LotD (I assume this means consolidation to one area):
FoF's location offers several advantages specifically for a kids' area which LotD doesn't have.
Shade and setting could be greatly improved upon within the existing FoF footprint, whereas LotD would be hard pressed to e.g. grow its footprint substantially.
As for the Sesame Street Forest of Fun theme... one of the two areas is entirely street-like and the other is entirely forest-like, so call that a wash. And neither one is particularly parent- or grandparent-friendly while the kids play.
Anyway, IMO consolidating to FoF would force a major decrease in the range of small-kid offerings at the park due to limited space and options.
This sounds like I'm advocating for FoF to go away. Far from it; I'd like to see both kids' areas stay and be happy that the little ones sleep that much better afterward.
Final thought: spreading the kiddie stuff around a bit while maintaining a couple of small themed areas provides needed balance for young-kid families. They can roam the park and find something in almost every corner for little kids, but also camp in one area for a while once little (or big) legs get tired.

- Adequate-ish size for one of nearly every attraction a mid sized kids' area ought to have
- Near the front of the park, which is better for absolutely everyone IMO
- Flat
- Almost-decent sightlines for keeping visuals on kids
- One path-width entrance/exit
- Everything internal is a dead end, no loops. Helpful for tracking and containment
- Both unstructured (splash pad) and highly structured (rides/shows) experiences
- Restrooms
- Shade, for the love of God, sweet beneficent shade
- Setting
- A carousel
- Semi-structured play, to some degree anyway
