Got a good view of the work from windseeker today (side note, I doubt I ever do that again).

The airtime hills on the backside long stretch look really good, like they are going to toss you up and slam you down pretty good. Still no work on the turns, which kinda has me thinking they are doing some interesting things with them and want to hold off for the winter to do that work.

Newest teaser has been released, and this one seems to have a lot more discernible words hidden in the background text.

While it may not be the "pattern" being referred to, notice that the word "PA⟂TERN" once again follows the trend of using a word with two T's, the first of which is stylized as "⟂". Could the ride's name or logo be stylized in such a manner?

Once again, the words "Candy," "Apple," "Grove," "2018," and "Rotten" appear. Some new background words (many of which have appeared as main text in previous teasers) include "Knotty," "Torn," "Rattle," "28 Extra," "Better [edit:] than none," and "816."

Coupled with the apples in the background, these words really make me think the ride's theme will relate to a sinister orchard in some way, but there have been so many red herrings that I have no idea if I'm even close.

Whoever is in charge of this teaser campaign really knows how to get fans riled up.

I am also betting on the name having two back to back T's within it. As far as the theme goes, I hope it fits in with the existing area a little bit so we don't have another I-305 oddball in the park. If it doesn't, I hope they re-theme/spruce up the area around it like Carowinds did this season with their new County Fair section converting Carolina Cobra into The Flying Cobras, etc.

I'm wondering if there will be an overhaul to the entire area of the park. They've been dropping hints of biggest announcement ever, everything in the images refelect Candy Apple Grove. I think it's getting not just an RMC hurler, but a new name (maybe), updated theming.

I personally wonder if it would be smart for them to do this too. Re-theme sections of the park, update them, and breath some new life into the park overall.

I really would love to see a "Harmony Hall" like place added to the Candy Apple Grove. Also would love to see a Mondial Top Scan go in next to Delerium sometime. That would be a great addition.

I heard a theory that the biggest announcement yet might refer to a Winter event coming in 2018. That seems to fit eith the hype and given the success of BGW and SFA events seems like a reasonable thing for the park to look at but that is just speculation we will see soon.

Is the announcement public? Or do you have to be apart of the media for its? I remember hearing it was a media only event.

It would be pretty shitty, but not beyond a park that bans people from taking pics, to hold an unveiling at the entrance and not have it public.

It's public, they announced it as a public event.

I don't think it is unusual to have a reception for the media after an announcement like this. If I recall correctly I think they've done this in the past.
