They can call it "Apple Bottom Screams" featuring the world's lowest height requirement (so that shorty can get low) and play club music and sell souvenir boots with the fur... with the fur...

This made me laugh so much harder than it ever should have

Yeah, I sorta see what you're getting at—I'm 99% sure it is the shadows and perspective messing with our eyes though. I flipped back through all the pictures I got and sadly I don't have anything that gives that area better context. Anyway, I'm almost positive the track is exiting the station at the same exact place as previously.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures!

RE: Project 2018: RMC Hurler

Park staff is now actively confronting guests and saying to stop taking pictures of Hurler. I'm dead serious. I've already been yelled at twice in two different locations.

What the actual fuck Kings Dominion? This makes the way BGW treated Tempesto seem transparent. This is the most draconian rule I've ever seen at a park.

I'm actually furious.

Isn't the same marketing person from BG during the Tempesto fiasco now over at KD. If so, I think that explains a lot. As to why they would do the same stupid marketing ploy like pretending nothing is happening and treating fans like crap...that are just taking pics of the construction...is horrible....(I was escorted out of BG for shooting pics of Tempesto....not that i'm bitter or anything.)

RE: Project 2018: RMC Hurler

It's genius marketing.

A)Insult the intelligence of people visiting the park by denying anything is happening.

B) Do nothing to conceal the project.

C) Strong-arm the people who want to get the word out about your big project.

D) Alienate your biggest fans/spenders.

E) Profit

It's called the Stockholm Marketing plan.

RE: Project 2018: RMC Hurler

Update: I talked to Guest Services. Apparently KD has "new rule" that prohibits taking pictures of any ride directly, "for security reasons." However, they were sure to inform me that it's okay to take pictures of a ride "if you're taking a picture of somebody in your group with the ride in the background."

I'm completely serious. This is the "official rule" that the supervisor at Guest Services told me, word-for-word (I recorded the conversation and just played it back, to be sure).

I know there's no way the park can or will enforce this "rule," and it won't change my picture-taking habits at all, it's both ridiculously annoying and infuriatingly blood-boiling that they would actually go so far as to tell guests something so absurd.

Security reasons?

What kind of foolishness and fuckery is that?!

RE: Project 2018: RMC Hurler

That's bullshit.

Apparently many people are reporting the same policy across the CF chain (or certain parks in the CF chain). I believe some of my friends were told not to take pictures of Banshee at KI and MF at CP. When asked for further explanation, that same policy was given with the same terrible justification.

EDIT: They didn't say no videography, did they? ;-D

This will be just like getting a ticket for not using your turn signal. Impossible and rediculous to enforce. Thousands of people will get away with it, and just a few will get busted. Those few will always have the argument of 'what about those 15 people over there taking pictures'? This is nonsense.
