feels like a deep south culture thing imo. John Arie doesn't wanna be told about ADA, Alabama Adventure wifebeating scandal, SFoG employees couldn't give a fuck less, neither could SFoT's (NTG ejection, godawful ops). don't let the liberal yanks tell me about no metal corrosion ! seatbelts are for [gay slur]
It's not a southern thing, I legitimately think they have trouble attracting people who want to grow in the industry to work there. None of the workers stay for very long or treat it like a summer job. My personal feeling is that a lot of those people who actually want to work in the industry go work for a park like Dollywood, or will move down south to Florida. When you compare the benefits between working at Six Flags Over Georgia vs. working for those other properties that are only a couple of hours away... it's not even close.

Six Flags needs to invest more in their employees, especially at Over Georgia.

It's a Six Flags thing, which is based in Texas, so everything bad that happens is automatically due to southern influence. Obviously.
I miss the days when I could go to a coaster message board and not see posts reflecting our current politically divided times.
No blaming woke or DEI or MAGA or Southern people.

Personally I blame Clinton.

I’ve only been to SFOG once and it was a far less than productive trip (95 degree weather and a nearly 3 hour trip each way right before moving out of Tuscaloosa), but I couldn’t agree more. I was pretty dehydrated at the time, but Blue Hawk specifically seemed like its ops that day couldn’t have given less of a fuck, and I sure as hell wouldn’t consider Scorcher’s ops all there either (outside of dispatch times).

I had intended to do a trip in mid August, but it kind of fell apart after FSA announced they’d be closing like 10 days before I’d have a chance to go. With the park now being 4.5 hours from me, I really don’t plan to return for the 6 credits I missed (and now Gold Rusher) until they really get their shit together.

At the time, it was only the second SF park I had been to, but with the other having been Great Adventure, I noticed ops were off immediately. GAdv had plenty of issues (and still does have some), but ops were absolutely not one of those issues, and until that day, I kinda assumed that was just how it was across the chain.
I’ve been to SFOG once in 2010 and never again, felt unsafe then.
