Is anyone actually surprised that you can't possibly ride the five today?

It was pretty much known that Alpie would be down for painting, and weekday ops at the park will likely be questionable for the next couple weeks.
If you can’t do it on a weekday then they should only advertise it for the weekend…..this bullshit of cutting the park slack for stuff like this is crap. I just don’t see it being possible on the weekends either with crowds it becomes impossible as well.

Lol, wow. Not a great start to this event. Having 1 ride not available at all and 3 others go down? I mean I know it happens and all. And I'm sure most of them were back up and running shortly, but still.

No one seems to know about the scavenger hunt or the specialty foods either. The event is really a non event…..I feel
like there’s only a very few here that have any idea it’s going on…..and that includes employees.

Ugh. The specialty food is what I was most looking forward to. When they didn't list any of it on the website though, that was an immediate red flag.

The scavenger hunt sheets were out in England when I entered.

We’re heading out without the kids next Thursday/Friday…trying to convince my wife to wear her wedding gown so she can #BrideTheFive after we use our 8 Platinum samplers for drinks 😂

So….I asked at the Fudge shop about the ride the five food or beverage…..they said they didn’t have anything. Then ran into the England food and beverage manager and he said there’s 5 new doughnuts in the candy shop……

The only merch i’ve found is in the Emporium. Shirt, shot glass and coffee mug.

I'm not mad... I'm just disappointed. There seem to be some major communication issues between the marketing/social media folks and actual park operations. Who would have even scheduled an event like this when one of the 5 rides is going through intermittent downtime due to painting?
@WDWRLD - I thought the exact same thing when I saw Grogan's closed yesterday. Can't remember the last time I saw that place closed!

On a positive note - Gotta give it up to the Apollo's Chariot ride ops. They were crushing it yesterday evening.

Did the Five in 3.5 hours yesterday (Monday). Also rode Griffon 2 more times, one extra on Alpie, rode the flume, Tempesto and 3 laps on Apollo. When I arrived at Pantheon, it was showing 60 minute wait (and at least 45) despite near walk-ons on everything else, with one train ops. After my Apollo session, went back and was down. Finally got on about 30 min. after park close. Good thing it's a great ride.

Saw an empty boat on Roman Rapids but no daring riders.
