As mentioned by both WDWNT and now Alicia Stella, Tomorrowland may be getting renovations! Particularly, Alicia and WDWNT have seemingly heard that Disneyland's long forgotten Peoplemover attraction may be returning from the dead corpse of Rocket Rods.

RUMOR: The PeopleMover Will Return to Disneyland as Part of Tomorrowland Overhaul - WDW News Today

We're turning our attention to another exciting aspect: the long-awaited, suspected, and demanded return of the Disneyland PeopleMover.

Nu!Tomorrowland (As I coin it) is expected to be announced in September at D23Expo 2022.

I'll believe it when it opens. The stories about what Rocket Rods did to that track makes it seem to me like it's gonna take a lot of work to get the people mover back into operable condition.

WDWNT was claiming none of the existing track would be reused and it would use a new, much more simplistic ride system over a notably smaller layout.

I still wish I got to experience rocket rods, I hope they can bring them back on a separate track, that runs right by a new people mover track. I’d love that

Word from Scott Gustin is that it’s being prioritized as the next project after DCA wraps up Avengers Campus expansion (newly confirmed for 2028) and the Coco boat ride (currently in site preparation). It will happen before DCA does Avatar. So probably into or around 2030.
