Theoretically they could build an RMC single rail coaster in the same area that captures the spirit of Scorpion.
If they removed the building directly to the south of Scorpion (which I assume is maintenance), they could probably squeeze a Stunt Pilot-sized ride there.

I'm all for interactive exhibits, walk-thrus, education elements that enrich the theming. Flat rides don't have much place in the THEME park capital of the world, outside of Fun Spot. I feel attractions like Phoenix and Tigris work as pseudo-flats. There's still space for indoor attractions, 21st century water rides and the legendary rumor. This park needs to have higher expectations, Fun Spot claimed to be receiving an RMC raptor next year.

I'm not sure why flat rides wouldn't be appropriate in a theme park. In fact, one of the most iconic rides at Magic Kingdom is a flat: Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

As long as there is place-making and story-telling, a flat is just as valid an attraction as anything else. Moreover, a flat can be an effective way to continue a theme that is already established by a larger attraction within a larger land or mini-land.

Additionally, parks need variety and capacity. Flats fill both of those requirements.

Dumbo was one of the first rides to put an insanely popular character in a fun, kinetic setting that people can ride. If WDW were to build a new park today, how many flat rides would be incorporated? Epic Universe is opening with two. Not one flat ever installed by PRKS has true story telling, theming, facade, sound, or any other effect ala Phantasialand or Disney. It's obvious corporate has moved closer to the "amusement park" label. If leadership was different, I'd support a flat ride. Universal and Disney have clearly set the industry standard with Harry Potter and Avatar lands, neither of which contain flat rides. If this company wants to stand out as an African themed adventure park, they can capitalize on the educational aspect Epcot and Animal Kingdom have forgotten about. If this park needs variety, they can add 21st century water rides, an indoor coaster, a flying theater, an update to Safari of Fun, a gondola lift that doesn't require additional payment... why must we feel flat rides are necessary when there are so many other experiences guests could enjoy potentially more than a funfair machine?

Watching scorpion and its circle loop makes me think of RMC buying Larson , and how a raptor with a Larson loop would make a perfect modern scorpion remake , and the same could be done for kumba with a T. rex rmc

I wonder what they gonna replace scorpion, I mean, the space can house 2 flat rides in theory but that just pulling a page off of python book but who knows

Just like all the other Schwarzkopf's of that era, the train probably needs to be replaced (they're down to just one). It probably came down to spend money on that (along with the other upkeep of the coaster) or spend that money on Kumba and keeping it running a few more years.
Maybe They Could Bring Skyline Atractions just like Tidal Twister but do a custom layout

They could expand over a lot of the "empty" games areas next to it... I would kind of hope for something in the similar height range, maybe some Flats? especially if the Giga is still on the plans for the near future... Or they could put in a flying theater... lol
