Now that we are in June, any new rumors on whether we may see a flat ride addition next year? Surely if something is in the works we would begin to see utility markings and filings sometime as early as this summer.
Nothing specific at the moment and nothing that I rate as highly credible. That said without knowing what type of flat ride the parkbis looking at it's hard to judge when we would see markings and permits as there are a number of flats that are shirt enough that they wouldn't need a height waver or meet any of the requirements for special permits and wouldn't require any early filings. Add to that the possibility reusing Da Vinci's Cradle site where utilities are likely already know for planning and I could see a possibility of not seeing anything for another 6 months and it still opening in Spring of 2024.

Kevin stated at the ACE event that SEAS plan is still to open a new attraction at each park each year. When asked about a possible announcement he said broadly that they shoot for early fall announcement. He also stated more flats are high on his list for park additions.

Is it unreasonable to think possibly two flats in one year? Still cheaper than a coaster. Plus there is a desperate need and several locations that had rides that were removed.

I would think that might depend on what site was chosen and what size flat they get. Have heard pretty solidly that Mach tower site will continue as a bar and eating area into next year.

Many Zamperla and Italian rides are low capacity lesser knockoffs of superior rides and they just have a cheaper look.

I wound rather see higher quality rides from German and Dutch manufacturers such as Mondial, Mack, Zierer and Huss.

The Zierer star shape is amazing. Huss still makes Condor and Enterprise which are both great rides with NO restraints. Mondial has a catalogue of fantastic rides.

I always thought Zamperla was a mid-tier flats manufacturer and Mondial was the knock-off brand, guess it's the other way around?

Especially with how much downtime I see the mondial flats at KD have.

Delirium is rarely down and Windseeker doesn’t have many issues either. Usually wind related if anything.

I would love for them to get one of the fully inverting frisbees. No idea where in the park or anything but after I rode Cyclos at KK I want more of those.

I can exclusively reveal that after the success of Kings Dominion's Monster Jam events, Busch Gardens is going to be introducing Der Autobahn Sr.

The ideological antithesis of Der Autobahn Jr., Der Autobahn Sr. will take place in Barvarian Monster Trucks (they were sold to Busch Gardens by the same mysterious twins who sold them snowmobiles for an indoor ride. I don't want to spoil the story too much, but needless to say, the theming will please even the most critical of you all.)

Here's some concept art I stole out of Kevin's car:

Honestly I think one of the weaker areas in the parks lineup is the more moderate family friendly rides. I would love to see them focus more on that right now with two or three small rides that anyone can enjoy over another big flat like Finnigan.

I'm of the opinion that massive, space-consuming flat rides like frisbees are antithetical to the vibe of BGW. The tree removal alone that they require makes them a blight on the landscape in my opinion.

*See Finnegan's Flyer

There are so many other places I would have chosen to build a Screamin Swing at BGW that would have fit the landscape better.

I'm nervous to see where and how BGW builds more flat rides. DaVincis Cradle was beautiful and low profile. I wish they could do something like that again. Flashy fair flat rides is not something the park needs.

If you look at Zamperla installations worldwide they seem pretty customizable theming wise. I mean there’s no precedent to go off for flats with SEAS right now other than Screamin Swings. They don’t seem to be getting in on the Zamperla bandwagon so far.

Always thought bookending Formal Gardens with the busch equiv of KDs Berserker would have been nice. Would have the tame boat and the eXtra boat.
