Something based around the Targa Florio would be more believable and interesting since it'd specifically represent Sicily and also the very oldest road racing spectacle in Italy. And it's hardly like Fiat and Lancia are disappointing licensees for such a theme, either. Both manufacturers (and Isotta-Fraschini) were prominent at the event in its earliest days. They could do some wacky alt-history with a backstory about a mid-race exhibition featuring the evolution of Da Vinci's spring-gear cart, mixed in with some Archimedes (hey, Syracuse is thematically next door).

Sweet! I could back the Targa Floria. My ancestry is Sicilian.
Yes, Archemides was from Syracuse!

…going down this rabbit hole, maybe a Vespa or two. 😀
If we’re sticking with the Renaissance, it would be funny to see bumper cars of Da Vinci’s tanks rolling around. 🤣

They could go really old with something that looks like a Le Mans car:

Or go slightly more modern with a more sleek and curvy:

I'm comfortable with either of these eras, personally. Being in San Marco, BGW has more timeline flexibility here than in most areas of the park in my opinion. Obviously the cars shouldn't look contemporary (70s or later is probably how I'd define that in this case), and they should "look Italian," but beyond that, I am probably ready to accept basically any option from ultra-vintage Italian racing to curvey, 50s/60s Italian elegance to even like quirky, 50s, iconically-Italian, Fiat 500-like options. Cars from this era could never work in many of the park's hamlets, but I think San Marco is an exception.

I do hope BGW is exploring sponsorship opportunities as well. This is the type of attraction where a corporate sponsor (car brand with Italian legacy, tire manufacturer, historic Italian racing group/track/museum/etc, or even just a vintage Italian brand in general "sponsoring" the race) could integrate super, super tastefully.

Sorry everyone, I've been completely out of the loop with theme parks, but I'm back with my videos and loving every second!

Here in the UK, I absolutely love this idea. Something like a Le Mans revival of some kind would be perfect for the park, and the location fits perfectly.

Hopefully we'll get an announcement at the back end of the summer.
