Whoever did this (assuming it’s fake) definitely knew what details to add in an attempt to make it seem real, but the labels in particular just do not look like they were done by a professional. Things like “existing parade route” and “indoor roller coaster” are phrases that sound like spending a thoosie would write rather than a real engineer. The scales are also very unusual numbers, and there are several labels that I’d expect to see but don’t, even accounting for the fact that these are not detail sheets

The wording actually has me thinking it's legit.

My gut feeling is that this is real. Whether or not it's the final design, or one of a few they're considering? No idea.

Compare this directly to Orion- just look at how similar the station drawing is. The footings, transfer table & storage, the stairs... it is virtually identical.

Specifically want to highlight the trademark "Tripod" support as the track enters the transfer table.

It's the same setup. Orion's is obviously the final, city-filed plans, so it has more detail (specifically the circles drawn inside the squares, outlining exactly where the footer is). I think this is just too much to fake to this degree...

Terms like "Existing X" are commonplace on site plans. It gives everyone reading the plan a better idea what they are looking at. Some of the people who will need use the plans may not be familiar with the park, so labeling some squiggly lines as "Existing Batman Roller Coaster" is critical.
The parade route is a critical piece of park infrastructure, complete with narrow gauge rails in the midway. It is more than two yellow lines painted on the ground.
As far as scale goes, there is not really a normal. 1" to 144' such an easy number to work with, 1" to 32', not so much (1" to 36" is much nicer). The part that surprises me is the one inch reference line is sized for normal letter sized paper, rather than large prints. That being said, stuff formatted for letter sized paper is easier for other people to print out to review.

Assuming foundation sizing is being calculated right now, I suspect it is pretty far along in development. I doubt a foundation engineer would be contracted unless the project was green lighted. 2027 is definitely a possibility.

Is there any reference point we could measure the turn on the Great America concept? My issue isn’t the shaping of it but the size of it. Orions turn is pretty massive compared to this one.
 
It would definitely be on the short side for a Giga but we've seen this with SFGAm before (Goliath in particular). Looks like the layout would focus a lot more on airtime (with the discussion that this is real. Leaks nowadays are getting harder to tell. I'm thinking back to Knott's....)

Project Rocket...replacing Johnny Rocket's?
I can see the homage to the former restaurant as well as corporate marketing leaking through here...."Johnny Rocket's: The Ride".

I know that you all will say that it's cheezy but...its better than the alternative of "Johnny's Rocket".

The guy who told me this has seen the plans and he’s not convinced these are the final designs. But, the theory also is that this has been moved up to 2027.

And I’m not gonna lie, I’d be pretty disappointed if the length was only 4100 feet.

If this is real, I think it would have a DC Comics name. They just need to move the DC Universe sign over to Superman and rename Big Easy Balloons and Roaring Rapids. This would contain all of the DC Comics stuff except for Justice League to one area of the park. Justice League could be redone at a later date to fit in with Southwest Territory or County Fair.

Who do you think they could theme this too?
If it has to be DC themed I’d rather this be a villain coaster (Mr. Freeze, Lex Luthor, The Riddler etc.) or a Green Lantern Coaster

And, as much as I, too, don't want more DC, we should expect new Six Flags to experiment with the value of the IP by making some major IP-infused investments.

It could work, if they theme it to the right character. I don’t want them theming it to another cheesy hero like Wonder Woman, Supergirl or Cyborg.

I think a Giga Coaster should be named after a Villain I’m Ngl.


If they wanna do a hero. I’d love to see Green Lantern on this one

In my opinion the biggest issue with DC theming is how low effort a lot of it is, just slapping a superhero's name on a ride and putting a couple posters in the queue. If a Six Flags park received a DC coaster with Batman GCE level theming I'd be incredibly excited, and I'd like to think a project this major would have potential to at least be close to that.

So the Giga is a for sure thing!? So whats up with them getting 2 big coasters in 2-3 years? Pretty unusual for any park...
