So 2028 looks to be the year for a thrill coaster. But where? I always wanted a Spain addition with a spanish restaurant along the Rhine and a record breaking wing coaster called Icarius. It would be located on the island to the right of Apollos Chariot.

'28 or '29 I'd say. Tampa is technically probably "due" before we are. Iron Gwazi and Pantheon ended up debuting together, but BGT is in far more dire straights and BGW has gotten a ton more cap-ex than BGT since those last major coasters.
Right now it doesn't look like Tampa has a major coaster in '27. Assuming that holds, I could see major coasters at BGT in '28 and then BGW in '29. I'm a big, big fan of an Italy Gardens overhaul with flats for '28 in Williamsburg—happy to let BGT take '28's theoretical, major coaster if we get a few flats as compensation for the "delay."
BGW has been pretty set on not adding new hamlets. If a new hamlet comes in the foreseeable future, I expect it to be a retheme of an existing hamlet (New France -> Scandinavian Country, Festa Italia -> Greece, Forest of Fun -> New Threadneedle Faire, etc) or the addition or carving out of a "sub-hamlet" of sorts from existing guest areas (Wolf's Revenge Area/Festhaus Park -> New Grimm's Hollow, Pompeii Area -> Small Mediterranean Country, etc).

It's really a shame about what happened with Sesame Street, because I had hacked into their servers last year and found a pretty interesting contract with Rocky Mountain Construction...
Exactly. The last time we added a new hamlet(or any new large area) to the park was over 35 years ago. And I honestly don't see how they would without it being a MASSIVE project. The park's loop is complete. Anything added would have to be outside of that with no transportation, infrastructure, or real benefit because the park wouldn't have enough parking to even justify it if they went that route.
I have a feeling that 2028 will be the Da Vinci's Garden revitalization. 2029 will probably be the next thrill ride.

Da vinci will probably be more family/kid flats, 2029 will probably be a big thrill flat. I don't have any hope for a long time we get a top tier major thrill coaster
Honestly, considering the already strong line-up of thrill coasters we have; I'm perfectly fine with the park adding more family rides, thrill flats, and theming/landscaping/food/entertainment/operations enhancements for the foreseeable future.
Personally I think every 3-4 years is a good idea for a new thrill coaster. I do think alepngeist will eventually be next for a retrack or removal unfortunately but who knows how much life she has left in her or her footings. I also think we get the antique cars rolling within the next 5 years. Pantheon still desperately needs theming. And look out for Pompeii in the near future as well.

I think the next handful of years almost has to have something done for Pompeii too—whether a renovation, a significant overhaul, or a total replacement.
I don't have any inside info right now on '28 specifically, but my eyes are turned to Italy broadly in the next few years at the moment—there have been multiple concepts and pitches out of those hamlets lately and at least one will almost certainly come to fruition soon I'd guess.

Lots of opportunities there.
I don't know that they could even replace Alpie, if so I'm sure it'd cost a pretty penny.
I know 2028 speculation has been mentioned before, but today marks day 1 of attempting to corrupt the minds of BGW’s corporate team. I’ll be posting 1 specific ride, the same ride every month, because Busch Gardens needs it.
The ART Engineering Wild Swing XL. I think it’d look incredible in Da Vinci’s Garden. The aesthetic fits the whole Da Vinci theme perfectly, and it would still leave plenty of room for a second (likely bigger) attraction in the area.

I posted a concept for a Gerstlauer Sky Fly in Festa, but the original idea was for Da Vinci’s Garden. I think replacing both defunct flats with a Sky Fly could very much work. It could fit the Da Vinci invention theme to a tee. Might ruin the symmetry of the area, but a highly visible flat to balance Battering Ram could be very cool. Only issue is its slightly low capacity.
With the current nostalgia trend, you have to start thinking a renovation is the likely outcome for Pompeii.

After going to Europa Park a few weeks ago, I really wanna see something like this come to BGW in some fashion and the Garden of Invention is the perfect spot to put one. Maybe have it go over to Festa. It would look great there.

I listened to the conference call on the United 2Q earnings from earlier this week. In the Q&A section, United management mentioned in reference to their Capex plan that they have made deposits already related to new attractions as far out as 2029. Of course this is probably standard practice and did not mention the park, but it makes me curious on all the above. Agree with @Zachary, in terms of watching Italy and Pompeii the next few years as the likely areas for new investment.
Separately, I also wonder what we will see for WCUSA in the next few years as well.

Whatever they do with Pompeii, Da Vinci’s Garden, and/or Italian Le Mans, I’m a little worried they will take a lot of that forest next to Pompeii/Loch Ness. I think Invadr STILL stings because it removed so many trees and killed the vibe of New France. I don’t want to see the park lose more foliage in the entrance area or over in Italy.
