It's Okay That They Killed My Grandpa After Secretly Kidnapping Him In The Night. I'm Just Mad The Hanging Was Public
Slopspire delays a meaningful investment like this for a few years at the very least, or (as I theorize) (if successful) will make it clear that a meaningfully enjoyable investment like this is increasingly unlikely to ever come to the property over whatever flashily dressed gimmickbahn they can con people into pretending to enjoy/tolerate queues for next
I feel like I'm getting trolled here.

I would think Six Flags would want to keep this as a unique attraction, especially since they're trying to build Great Adventure into a destination park.

I could definitely see parks in other chains considering this ride model at their parks if it proves successful though!

I think it may end up like the Intamin impulse coasters, with Phantom Spire being the equivalent of Wicked Twister; other parks will end up getting the same general spinning shuttle format, but at a smaller scale, and probably without the turn into the stall.

Given that I continuously see this ride's shortcomings excused as the result of multiple unforeseen circumstances, I hope and pray no other park is saddled with an anchor this cumbersome, bland, and ill-fitting. Again I simply don't know why we're pretending this ride is already successful, reliable, and well-received enough to be duplicated before it opens

It wouldn't be out of place at Magic Mountain. I'd argue that Phantom Spire fits far better there than it does here. Nothing else would fit on the Superman plot, Superman itself has been closed for two years and is SBNO, and Magic Mountain is known for extreme thrills and short coasters. I just got done with two days at the park and that's what made me think of this.

Also, if we took Ka out of the equation the discourse around this ride would be almost non-existent and you know that.

Nope! I still wouldn't be happy to get the second linear stalling shuttle in a row, and I think other people would be more open to feeling that way if they weren't constantly told they should express support or be accused of trolling

There's a difference between feeling dissatisfied and making it your entire forum personality to hate on one ride that isn't open yet. It's like this threads version of that bird meme where we're just talking about the ride and you're screaming "it sucks, it's slop!" because you need the attention.

If this were any other forum you'd be threadbanned by now. I've seen people banned for less.

Then draft ur censure proposal or whatever. Just so odd to me that my thinking seems to affect people in this way. Genuinely an impressive psyop by Mr. Eldredge

It would also be replacing a coaster with almost certainly far worse reliability. Wait, something about this seems familiar…

Regardless I do think Lex Luthor’s days are numbered. They’re not gonna want to leave Superman EFK there taking up space long term (I’d wager 5ish years), and it’s a far different structure than Tower of Terror II was, so they don’t exactly have a blueprint to go off of for what would actually need to remain for LL.

Bonus is that if SFEC does opt to steer away from the DC IP, SFMM would be a fantastic park to start with, being that they only have 5 DC themed attractions and this one is likely on borrowed time. Teen Titans Turbo Spin and Wonder Woman would be easy to strip of the branding, leaving BtR and JLBFM as the only ones of any substantial difficulty to retheme (which I assume would be themes cloned across the chain).

They also have Riddler

Nobody is censoring you. But if you're annoying so many people maybe the other people aren't the problem. It's not that hard to tone it down instead of going in on the ride every time you feel like it.

Imagine you're discussing a movie that you like with some friends. If one of them kept shouting about it being slop and embarrassing to the industry you'd get pretty annoyed too.

Sounds like me talking about superhero slop 😍Anyways I'd probably bow out of that conversation because I don't have enough knowledge on the topic, but I sure do have an informed opinion on this coaster. Do I claim to have THE authoritative opinion? No. But it's just as valid as everyone else's speculative opinions.

Anyways feel free to argue with me in another thread, people don't like that here. censure ≠ censor
