It does have a similar profile...Coincidence? I think not
It looks like there's some extra connections up at the top there that may be for catwalks instead of track or connections to other supports. This is such an interesting structure to see come together day by day.As of this evening.....
This angle makes it really easy to see how the track will wrap around the structure, it looks like it'll be funAs of this evening.....View attachment 43388
There are 8 track pieces with 15 total track mounts left (Coaster Studios video from today shows them all very clearly). As of yesterday there were 10 mount points installed on the tower, leaving 5 more to be installed.I think this is going to spiral more than most think.
There’s roughly 8 pieces of track left on the ground correct?
Most if not all the pieces left have 2-3 points of connection to the tower. Judging by what we see in these pictures, based on the number of mounts, we’re looking at only 4-5 pieces of track here
That leaves 3- 4 more to go.
So this outerbank turn is going to be longer
Guess they don't want a repeat of The Chiller causing brown-outs within the park LOL.The construction under the inversion is for the BESS system for the ride. So, goodbye dreams of a connecting path or woodie track under the inversion. This setup could be up to $5 million of the ride total. The actual unit tied to the ride is just a regular electrical cabinet, but the storage units (batteries) look something like this.....
I’m almost certain that’s for another catwalk; it’s the same style connection that we saw under the lower catwalk, and it’s also directly above that one, which would work well for continuing the ladder up the tower.View attachment 43453
Based on Colin's latest video, is that a track support piece? There are 5 missing track supports, 8 pieces of track and 7 support beams still on site to install so it might be possible it completes another tight spiral up of a narrow section but towards the inside? At a minimum it looks to be completing a full 360 as it will continue upwards counter clockwise.
Makes sense but it still looks like its forming a tighter spiral. Either way it will be different than most of the projectionsI’m almost certain that’s for another catwalk; it’s the same style connection that we saw under the lower catwalk, and it’s also directly above that one, which would work well for continuing the ladder up the tower.
Since the track started to level out up the tower and that support piece came in I've believed the support structure will extend higher than the top of the track. I was hoping originally we'd get several spirals around the tower but that doesn't seem to be happening, based on the remaining track on site. Expecting this to be for catwalks or some purely decorative structure above the highest track.Makes sense but it still looks like its forming a tighter spiral. Either way it will be different than most of the projections
