News Project 2027/Purple: Delayed “World Record Breaking Coaster" (Phantom Spire?)

Has anyone else seen that one dude who comments on every post about project purple saying it's not confirmed to be a tower and he hopes it'll be something like stardust racers? It's honestly hilarious

So on GAdv history (I believe some people are here ) we would discuss potential park plans prior to the August release of rides coming. Every year naturally we wanted a coaster… so anyway no matter what was released or what was leaked or what was discussed, flat ride or coaster …. There was this one guy who ALWAYS commented saying it would be an RMC Trex or RMC raptor.

Every. Single. Post.

He could literally see a Larson loop coming and he’d be like eh i don’t buy it, its an RMC Trex

It was so impressive his dedication to it.

I try to carry the inside joke at this point randomly but only a few get it

If you mean "JD", yep. I've only seen him in Youtube video comment sections, so far. I think folks don't understand that he's on the spectrum, based on his limited channel content and behavior, and I'm 99% sure he's not doing it deliberately. Unless somebody else knows more and it is all just a troll job.

Yeah idk how you could think it’s anything but the tower spinner at this point. It’s painfully obvious. Anyone denying it at this point is just coping.

Not a ton of info, but here's some relevant bits (not all new):

• Estimated 2027 public opening, date of completion likely 2026
• 47% complete as of the media tour yesterday
• Construction expected to proceed at 6 days/week
• Exit/entrance from the boardwalk (right next to shoreline pier)
• Repeat of '5 records'
• Ryan made a note that SFGAdv has coasters that 'thrill the entire family.' I wonder if we'll see a 48" min for this ride. Stardust Racers is 48", though Ride to Happiness is 130cm (~51-52in)
• Notes that the purple/grey has 'ominous' vibes

It's been heavily implied and assumed that there's going to be a lot of theming and landscaping. I vaguely recall Ryan saying at some point that this won't be a "parking lot coaster."

Maybe the stall will be in a show building? It could make sense with "not being a parking lot coaster" and why they built a ugly support style imagine being in the dark and then launching upside down into the light while spinning into a massive giga tower.

I’m probably in the minority here but,
I think from the proposed queue location and essentially the rest of the parks view of the ride, the supports look absolutely awesome. Almost menacing.
Like it’s the spine of a skeleton.

I half-joked yesterday that that, plus the tower, resembles the shape of a Loch Ness-style sea monster sticking out of the water. Could've been an alternative theme if they didn't go with the ghostly lighthouse.

Im gonna be honest at this point Project Purple should just be the name of the ride. It's made its way into the GP at this point as the name of this ride... and honestly it's got a nice ring to it.
