If they have a concrete 10 year plan in place, I expect to see 2-3 coasters built in that timespan

I expect the obviously 2 will be built in green lantern & kingda ka land while the third will be in the great arena area

I get it mainly because of how badly the arena is in shape, and how a 'giga' could fit in the plot + Medusa's if it's removed, but what about Rolling Thunder's plot? Its a large chunk of land, and if the park got a new family wooden or hybrid coaster either echoing Twisted Colossus or something much larger wouldn't that be more optimal? Yet again people have been saying that since it was removed, but I find it difficult to see that large gap between Toro (previously Ka) and now the new coaster would be still empty under their new '10 year plan'.

I think it’s a tough call between the two. It’s a disgrace what has been done with that land (or really, what HASN’T been done), and it’s more visible than ever with Ka gone, but the arena absolutely needs to be taken care of and should’ve been years ago at this point.

The years of neglect and poor financial decisions are going to take even longer to rectify. I don’t envy the position the chain is in with this park, because there was no solution that people were going to be happy with in the short term.

Calling it now, a Vekoma tilt they choose to name Great American Scream Machine (for obvious reasons) will be what replaces Green Lantern
Yes! I've been thinking about this recently and I personally think it would be a great addition to the park. Whether it would live up to GASM is something I unfortunately can't decide because I never was able to ride it.

It’d be a slam dunk addition next to (what we presumably think will be) a 400ft spinner. You need the craziest attractions possible to be what guests see as they pull into the parking lot, especially for a park that hasn’t been doing as well

As for the Rolling Thunder area, keep an eye on it. Now that Zumanjaro is gone, expect to see it as a real possibility for a new addition in this 10 year plan. Same with the area over by Medusa and the arena.

There’s a lot of dead spots in the park that were never addressed due to budget issues. Hopefully they can be addressed in the future.

GASM themed or not, a tilt in that plot is my single biggest selfish desire for the park, even more so than a Kingda Ka replacement.

Sarajevo Bobsled, GASM, and Green Lantern sat on some of, if not THE, most important land in the park in terms of first impressions. A tilt facing the parking lot is the single best use of a coaster I can think of in that plot.

I don't think there will be another coaster on the former Green Lantern location. I made a quick mockup of what I think the land will be used for.
I feel you can easily swap the flat rides and the 2029 coaster here.

And then maybe a B&M Giga somewhere out by Monmouth Road or something

The full Q&A if anyone is interested. It spanned a wide range of topics and mostly didn't pertain to the new coaster, but this is probably still the best place to post it given what the event was centered around. There's a good video of the construction tour on the same channel!

I'll attach a few extra pictures too. Nothing overly exciting, but I liked them when I looked back through my album.

Def sounds like we are getting something from SFA.

Love the idea of a Scream Machine II Tilt Coaster. I actually kinda hope the trend of naming new coasters directly after beloved defunct coasters continues. None of these rides will stick around forever, but I think it’s better to have them persist as a series of completely different coasters in the park. They’re too iconic to fully leave in the past. Just like Big Bad Wolf was. I’m glad there will still be a Big Bad Wolf at BGW. I would love KD building a tilt coaster on the lake and calling it Anaconda. I would’ve loved for Hershey to call their water coaster RollerSoaker. I don’t think the originals are “too sacred” or anything. They’re roller coasters. It’s fine.

Sorry if that was rambling and made no sense lol

With the information that half the footers have been poured, and seeing where the asphalt is already cut from the overhead drone shots. I’m almost 100% certain it’s the spinning Mack tower coaster I made a mock up. I was also think it might be supergirl themed. With the success of Superman movie and the upcoming supergirl movie new cedar fair management might be excited to use these IPs and actually do it right. It would fit with its neighbor Superman. Make that area Superman themed and move the board walk to the lakefront area.!
