I don’t think it’s out of the question for them to just not utilize most of it, at least for now. Part of Ka’s issue as far as ridership goes was just how far removed it was from the rest of the park, and I can’t imagine they’re itching to put something right there immediately.
That’s a good point, that being said I do really miss that area of the park and am dying to walk through the golden kingdom again

If new coaster is going mostly in parking lot. I would like to see a safari themed hotel in former Ka’s tower area. They can also redo the golden kingdom complete with a new ballins jungleland and jungle-cruise style boat ride for families.

Golden Kingdom had great atmosphere but was almost completely void of anything to do, especially in the latter half of its life. Temple of the Tiger was empty far more often than not, Balin’s Jungleland was long gone, and it seemed they never could decide what they were going for with the animal exhibits or if they’d even keep that area open to connect GK and Plaza del Carnaval.

um, the new coaster in where half of green lantern & twister used to be

If those are all the footers they are digging in total, the length looks pretty small to be a mack tower. Roughly 40% of how long KA was.
Considering the sheer size of the construction site they’ve fenced off, there will definitely be more footings. Will probably end up waiting until the offseason if I had to guess since they’ll end up cutting into the parking lot a considerable amount.

Did some investigative work in Photoshop... The footers are around 80-85% of the length of Flash.

If they were going to tear up more parking lot, not sure why they wouldn't just fence it off now.

Since the ride has been delayed indefinitely, there’s not really any rush to fence off that portion of the parking lot now as it’s still in use for the season. I’m sure we’ll see it fenced off after Fright Fest, since that’s typically a busy season for the park.

Granted, Great Adventure (especially this season and probably next) has more parking spots than cars to fill them, and they wouldn’t really be losing anything if they started digging up this portion of the parking lot early.

It’s official y’all, we have at least one turn.

I’m at the park today, and from the top of El Toro you can see two large holes cut in the pavement of the fenced off section of the parking lot, perpendicular to Ka’s former path. I’m still in the park, but I roughly marked them on last week’s aerial photo; I’ll try and get pictures from the parking lot later today.

Interesting that they aren’t just using Ka’s old plot but going next to it and taking more of the parking lot.

I hope as this get’s build SF actually put some money to landscaping with this budget and works to make the plot not feel like a parking lot like Ka, Zum, GL, and Superman feel.

From the looks of the holes dug for the footers, the straight line will transition with a low turn to the right which could line up with the markings that go down the parking lot. I believe it has been said that the pink markings on the ground go well down the area that has been fenced off in the parking lot. (Proposed supports shown in green)

I still have no real idea what this will end up being.

I’m glad it’s not a fully straight-line layout, especially if it’s a Mack spinner. Those types of rides work so well because of the changes in direction. A slight turn will definitely make a difference. I’m intrigued with all the space around these footers. It seems like they have enough space to do a straight line layout but are choosing to go a different route. There is so much room for a lot of different layouts, including full-circuit layouts.

one guy on an older forum was convinced everything coming to Gadv was a T Rex. No matter what was being teased or built that said otherwise.

So I’m going with T Rex.

On a more serious note, it does appear it’ll be the Mack tower. Which I genuinely can’t stand spinning and it won’t please most people however they seem like they won’t just end there and will add more so I’m optimistic For the next 5 years

To be fair, even a slight turn adds a lot more to the ride. This takes away the "off the shelf" factor. Now just give it a return layout 🫠

I wonder if it’s a custom not off-shelf, how would this work if it’s the Mack spinning tower? Would there be a switch track at end of tower for extended layout? It’s interesting to imagine how this will look like! Also I wonder what they have planned for KAs spot if this coaster does not use the space.

SixFlagsFun.

Remember that guy all too well sadly.

Haha. His comments were always welcome. They brought absolutely nothing to the discussion … it was borderline impressive. I enjoyed them
yeah, one of my favourite comments from him was the comments about the rides if time warner still own six flags and the warner bros movie world concept this guy made (wish someone saved that thread that guy created)
