Kudos for the updates. That fence is very hard to get any good looks through, so I appreciate how thorough he is even with very limited views. We'd have to get Victor Wembanyama to walk by if we wanted to get an angle over that fence.

These footers are definitely on the smaller side, given the scope of the ride we'll definitely be seeing larger footers soon if it's what we think it is. I think the smaller footers makes sense here, especially since this area they're currently working on could (potentially) be the station/transfer track.

Given where that guy down in the Ka plot was doing markout, it's looking like we could see more of a bent-L shaped layout as opposed to a strictly linear one. If it is the tower coaster, will be interesting to see what modifications they've made to that original layout. Hopefully they keep the upside down launch!

I’m at Great Adventure right now. Nothing really looked different from the video I posted - from Superman it definitely looked like the footers were aimed towards the parking lot and not Ka’s plot. However to others’ point, it could just be for a turntable. There is concrete poured and an excavator on the opposite side of where the footers are closer to where Ka’s path was.

I also tried to get a look at the former Daredevil Dive plot to see if there anything noticeable for the rumored Ragin’ Cajun relocation but it’s pretty much impossible to see anything. I wonder if it’ll get a Boardwalk retheme along with Superman to make that area sort of cohesive.

On another note - lines here are VERY long today. Ops were pumping trains out on Superman too. Nice to see it pretty full here again.

Just out of curiosity, I am going to play devil's advocate here and go off on a side note that others may have also done before...

So the spinner coaster concept. Is the only thing we are going off of as "proof" that the park is getting a large shuttle Mack spinner is that one survey from a couple years ago? What other proof, if any, do we have that it's a Mack spinner? Seriously, I want to know because the fact that it was on a survey doesn't really do it for me. We don't even know how the public responded to that survey. Were they in favor of that? Who knows. 🤷‍♂️

Right now this thing is a secret. We can't say definitively what it will be. I think that's what makes this addition especially exciting. Will I be happy if it's a large spinner? Yes. Will I be happy if it is something else that is equally as awesome? Yes. Just make it have good capacity, tall, fast and be unique to Great Adventure. Otherwise I'm personally happy with anything that meets that criteria. I would think a good portion of the GP would be as well. Do you agree?

I do love this speculation though. We know the new addition will be a record breaker as was stated in the announcement last year. But, will it be a spinner? Will it be something else? I am excited to keep the discussion going until we see something definitive from the park. Thanks to all who posted the recent videos and have been taking a look at the site in person!!

Also if anyone has more "shitty mock ups" to post as this construction continues that would be greatly appreciated :)

Unlikely, the current construction seems like it would be the station for the new ride and it’s in the perfect location for the Mack Spinner. Not the only construction that we will see this year though, there are markers in the Dare Devil Dive plot as well. My gut is telling me it’s the spinning mouse coming over from SFA.
I’m starting to warm up to the idea of Ragin Cajun coming here. It was a favorite at Great America before it was relocated and would only make our lineup better. There’s also hardly anything in the boardwalk right now besides Superman, so it’d be going somewhere that seriously needs rides.

I guess if the park is gonna repeat the 1988-1989 evolution, I think next year will be flat rides and some new kiddie areas (jr thrillseekers becomes camp snoopy while Berlins jungleland returns as phase 1 of the new golden kingdom with air jumbo and the 2 other kiddie rides from jr thrillseekers moving there) (the old site of air jumbo becomes the site of pirate flight (brought over from Six Flags America)

I can’t imagine it would be there for more than a few seasons but I’m absolutely on board with it. Would be nice to get a couple of the flats from SFA over there too.
Praying for the NebulaZ. Been wanting one of those here for awhile lol

edit: Actually I'm willing to bet money that it'll be the twister replacement

Sorry man, but no I don't see that happening. I see Bugs Bunny National park getting a transformation to Camp Snoopy before Jr. Thrill Seekers. Also Balin's Jungle land was located pretty darn far into the Golden Kingdom plot. A kiddie land is not enough of a draw to bring people back there without a large anchor attraction.

well, its worked before in 1988
Bugs Bunny land (1988) was located directly next to a very busy midway, as is the case with Bugs Bunny National Park (not quite as busy as busy as dream street but still a main midway). You don't have to walk through the golden kingdom to get there as you did with Balin's. Not saying '88 was a bad year, just those additions were placed more strategically and were not the only attractions added that year.

I’m definitely on board with Ragin’ Cajun, although I’m biased because it’s one of the few coasters I could get my mom to go on lol.

But I think if you add that + SteamWhirler (NebulaZ) and maybe ElectroDerby? that would add some depth and variety to the lineup. You could easily retheme some of them to fit the boardwalk too

The rides you just mentioned, the Ka replacement (I assume the entrance to it will be where GLs entrance was), a rethemed version of Superman, and an entire landscape overhaul should be a great start in reviving the boardwalk.

Doesn't Rajun Cajun spin? So the rumor is they are going to put in a spinning wild mouse and then an extreme spinner tower coaster? That is a lot of spinning 😵‍💫
