So perhaps I am reading to much into this but two things I see in the press release.

"The ride's RETIREMENT, in addition to the removal of The Twister and Parachutes, makes way for a new signature attraction"

This seems to imply a could possibilities first and foremost that the tower is not actually being removed since they chose a different word for Ka. In addition to that Zumanjaro is not mentioned in the statement so that definitely leads open the possibility that it's staying

It also said "Multi record breaking"
The word World is noticeably missing so could we be talking about North American or Northern Hemisphere records.

The other part of this is those things could simply be just this is a somewhat rushed and vague statement designed to quite the PR shit storm that seemed to be growing but just some food for thought.

But what world record would that beat by doing that.. TT2 remained the exact same minus the worlds tallest spike or whatever. And worlds tallest and fastest multi launch I guess
Tallest and Fastest Multi Launch Coaster? Possibly reclaiming the Tallest/Fastest Coaster in America title?

This is interesting that they say Kingda Ka, Green Lantern, Parachutes, and The twister were all removed for this attraction, which means that the area is 666,000+ sqft. That is MASSIVE in terms of space for this.

This is over 100,000 sqft bigger than the land for Steel Dragon 2000, 3x the land space of Steel Vengence, Fury 325 is 200,000 sqft smaller than this plot of land.

That’s a loooooot of land.

End of the first paragraph of the full statement (I just posted it, a couple before your message) does indeed include WORLD in the record-breaking conversation.

Agreed that it could be a rushed, blundered PR statement, though. At least some record is getting broken, somehow😆

Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but I don't see a new attraction taking up all of that land. I think it's more probable that Green Lantern's plot is replaced by another ride separate from this project later down the line.

This doesn’t exactly shut the door on a Top Thrill 2 like refurb, which could be the “world record breaking” part
I really hope so, versus the supposed launch spinner that is a theory.

In the event that there was a re-imgagining of Ka, surely Zamperla is off the table, right? I'm just asking based off of that post in the TT2 thread that (C)SF has supposedly lost ALL confidence in Zamperla and is going to third (and fourth) parties to try and salvage TT2.

Intamin would have to be in charge of that because of NJ state law

My gut is telling me based on the careful PR wording that this is gonna be something along the lines of TT2. Using retirement for KK and removal for every other ride, not mentioning Zumanjaro at all indicates to me that the top hat is staying and gonna be incorporated into something else, probably retaking the worldwide speed record.

If it’s a Mack spinner I’m gonna riot though lmao

Edit: scratch all that I guess lmao

Need to credit all of those who were consistent in saying that Ka would close and be completely removed at the end of its operating season this year. Many people didn’t believe it, but they did us all a favor in prepping us for this announcement.

I will say again that the Mack concept ride would not be a great fit for this park, as the park is opening a launched shuttle coaster next year in Flash. They are planning on opening a record-breaking ride will draw crowds, so a shuttle type coaster would not be ideal capacity-wise.

If you ask me. They have to go with Intamin on this new coaster. Make it something that will rival Velocicoaster, something that will bring people from around the world, specifically just to ride this one ride. In theory they could even try and take the North American speed record back.

I have no theories on what this will be, so I’ll just add that you all need to stop ignoring @b.mac’s well-sourced statement that they are not keeping or repurposing any part of it. It is completely and wholly gone. Also, it will not be from intamin, that should be clear as day

A complete clean state design would have less limitations on its design. I would not surprised if its opening is delayed by a year like with JD and the Flash. I really hope this new coaster isn't a shuttle, I prefer full circuit layouts.

Also very disappointed with the removal of the Skyride. The park is really going to be thin next season. Instead of a new coaster, GAdv really needs more flats and unique non coaster rides if they hope to become a resort. At this rate it would not be surprising if they close down the safari.

this makes it extra odd that they said nothing about Zumanjaro

Also, for those believing Ka might receive the same treatment as Top Thrill Dragster, I don’t think so at the moment...
