They have the entirety of GL's plot to extend the midway or construct a new themed area. It's actually quite exciting thinking about this park's future, they have an open sandbox to build anything and transform the layout/flow of the park completely.

Do they use the midway with Ka's lockers and old entrance at all this year?

How much extra would it have cost to bring in an asphalt milling machine to grind up the old parking lot so that it doesn't become part of the ride experience? It seems like they could have done that before digging the footers.

well, not the first time something like that happen (look at scream at magic mountain and the way how they built that coaster)

This might be a silly idea but I just wanted throw out a possibility. Do you think it’s possible (doesn’t mean likely, just is it feasible) the tower coaster layout belongs/could have been sold to Intamin?

Just food for thought, wanted to put it out there just in case lol.

Its pretty wild looking at the drone footage that this ride really isnt using much of ka or GLs land at all. Hoping that means they have a 5 year plan with multiple coasters coming.

If Intamin is involved, I’m starting to wonder if we see a Fast and Furious ride vehicle concept: on the way out you’re facing forward, and then when you get to the top of the tower the cars rotate 180* so you descend the tower and go through the stall facing forward. Then after you hit the brakes the cars rotate another 180* back to the starting position as you slide back into the station.

So here's my mock up for the new coaster. We have the initial launch coming from the boardwalk into the first right banked turn into a launched inverted stall. We come out of the stall into another launch heading toward the tower, however we first make a very slight and elongated S-bend prior lining the coaster track up into Kas old plot. I believe the tower will be directly over Ka's tower site for multiple reasons.
1. The land is there to use, why not extend the coaster out into that usable area?
2. That spot makes perfect aesthetical sense especially for the view I call "the spot" looking at El Toro from the fort as you're going into Frontier adventures. If the tower was placed in any spot nearer to the boardwalk that view would not look right and it would be obscured by toro.
3. As an homage to Ka.

Here's a picture using the drone footage and also a picture of "the spot" with the new coaster tower. What are your thoughts on this?

As much as I’d love to see Ka’s color scheme reborn (Ka’s color scheme is the best I’ve seen on a coaster, followed Fury’s), I doubt management is going to go that route to avoid confusion with the GP on whether this is a new ride or not. Further, in my opinion it can only be Ka colors if it goes fully over the top.

I still don't understand the grandstanding about wanting it to be full circuit. As long as they give it some ability to run multiple trains, I couldn't care less if it returns the same way it came. Feels like thoosie nitpicking. Maybe they could make it full circuit if it wasn't 400 feet tall, but then y'all would just whine about that instead.

Initial reaction: I'm not sold on those being for this project (or being coaster supports of any kind, really). A few of those are VERY curved, some straight up 90° curves- that's just not something you see on coasters. Just cause the guy filming claimed it to be for this, doesn't mean it is. I don't know what we're looking at, honestly.

Where was this filmed?
