Sorry for the double post, but I feel like this can be shared in a new post.

The uploaded 3rd version of the project is just for the drainage plans as opposed to the whole set of attachments. However, the re-submitted drainage plans shows the full path back, as well as the original design of the 2nd turntable / maintenance building, and the phase 2 dining plot.

After looking at this again, it appears that the new Fury path still may be cut from the final project.

The document available for review is dated 4/23/25. Another near-identical document dated 7/29/25 was uploaded alongside, which is missing the new Fury cut-through in the new attraction area. Since the newest available document shows it without the path, my guess is that's the actual plan they're going with.

It should be noted that a permit has been provided to Carowinds to start work as soon as Fire approval is given.

In other news... we know for sure that the contractor working for the project is TRA Design. They've worked with Carowinds before on Fury325, 2017's County Fair expansion, and Copperhead Strike.

Hopefully we'll also see the Weber group involved with this attraction. The permit does mention "show scene buildings".

I wish they would lower the angle of the webcam on Fury325 so we can see the work site a little more. All you can see now is tire tracks going into the area. Ok, so now I am that guy.

All of the hourglass items are due on 10/13/25 (all to different people at City of Charlotte). An example of the dates and revisions are the second image. This looks to be underway, no question.

Just an odd thought, if this is a “new model” flume any chance of an announcement next month at IAAPA?
Won’t be a new flume model, it’s a Super Flume from WhiteWater West, which inherited their water ride catalogue from Hopkins and has done little to deviate from it. Standard model that just hasn’t been mass produced.

I went to WhiteWater’s IAAPA press conference last year and they were kind enough to give us goodie bags. Typically they do talk about their announced slate of new projects for the continent every year, if Carowinds actually goes public with the flume before next month then yes, I would expect to hear about it.
