I'm not 100% sold on it being a traditional hyper, but the fact that it was included in the survey means it isn't something that can be dismissed easily. However, especially if it's confined to the area behind the waterpark, it would need to be something with much more of a twister layout than we've seen on most of the B&M designs. Looking at other relatively recent projects for Six Flags, the one that sticks out to me most is a wing coaster as there's nothing like that anywhere nearby. Could it be a hyper-sized wing? I definitely see that as a plausible alternative to a traditional hyper.

I was at the event. Jeffery said "next signature attraction". He said that it would be unique. Also he is saving the boardwalk and area behind the Hollywood store for special projects. And the high turn on Dr. Diabolical was built to have a dark ride under it.

The turn before the mid course, or the turn after it?

Originally I was fully expecting a new generation high tech water coaster with projections and stuff to go along with astronomy.. But now looking into how massive the plot is.. I keep leaning toward this being a family launch coaster. They had a Vekoma family launch on their survey a few years ago.. and with the failure (not entirely confirmed) of Kid Flash, seems like they would lean into another family style attraction. Out and back style that runs similar to big bear mountain.

Is that the plot that they've cleared, or is that the plot of Big Bear? It looks very similar to that.

If it's B&M family coaster- surely it'd be either a Penguin Trek variant or a wing coaster, yeah? Hard to believe they'd repeat pattern that with family inverts, too...

And would that really be enough to warrant being "the next signature attraction"? Even Big Bear Mountain, as great a ride it is, maybe that tagline would apply there- but (having not done either) I don't feel like Penguin Trek or Mandrill Mayhem fit that.

That plot of land is also one of the last 'obvious' areas to put a large thrill coaster. I'd rather they save it for something of that nature.
