Looks like more land has cleared and a big whole dug. Hemisphere has a video. I'm so excited
I wonder if anything will be reveled at IPPA ? If we're getting a coaster in 27 on the 35th Anniversary I have to assume this 2026 will be a water coaster or some water theme expansion or if nothing gets announced in 26 and it's a 2027 ride

I’m just gonna predict that in the coming weeks, we’re going to see it changed to “SFFT2027”
This park has a schedule that's more year-round than the traditional seasonal parks. Dr. Diabolical opened in late July and Kid Flash opened in November, so they are no stranger to delayed openings or opening rides outside the normal May-June window the rest of the chain seems to stick to.
Maybe the tease is the result of an attraction that is so early, a timeframe isn't locked down yet; or this is testing the waters with corporate trying to ease up on an opening window?
Not seeing any new Land Development permits. The latest Building permits are for the Bubba's Kitchen Remodel for 2026 and the water slide demolition.
There’s a ACE event today and they got a tour of the clear sight and it’s HUGE. I’m starting to think it isn’t for the water park

Based on the satellite photo, it looks like there is definitely space to extend a possible ride, like a hyper coaster, toward the parking lot. 2 other thoughts:
1. There is a lot of hype surrounding this addition already. Perhaps too much hype to be a water park addition.
2. Man, a hyper would give Fiesta Texas whipped cream on its Ice Cream Sundae of Coasters. FT already has a very well rounded lineup but a hyper would make it perfect!

I think I'd lean towards a tilt-- with the recption that Siren's Curse got, I have a feeling that will be the new "thing" across properties.
I'm going to pretend I don't have some insight on this project and lay out some fridge logic.
New Six Flags has the ability to fast track projects very quickly if they choose to. The circumstances that led to Siren's Curse though are not the same for Fiesta Texas. We might never see a repeat on that scale again, as it was a concoction of a prefabricated ride already being under corporate control and a desperate PR situation at the flagship park. If the chain wants more tilts, it will take more time to develop them as Vekoma is a busy company and larger thrill coasters are on a waitlist there.
Additionally, lineup wise they already have a Dive Coaster built from a few years ago and while that certainly didn't stop Siren's Curse, the people at SFFT are unlikely to make that call (especially with Circuit Breaker fresh up the road). Dr Diabolical's is also perfectly capable of handling demand for what it is and there's no reason to do something similar so close by and so soon.
Fiesta Texas on the other hand had been developing something pre-merger under the old Six Flags bosses (and the rules they played by) and that is now moving forwards. There's very little reason to have been developing a tilt coaster when something else will gel better with the market.
