I’m excited for the revamp! I did love the original Verbolten and effects, but I think the new effects will actually be better. However, I think Frau Hexel sucks and is a boring character, so I may or may not have or may not have reached out to the designers about giving her a better role. But I don’t want to kill the fun unlike the troll.
Anyways I also suggested that if the cars get repainted doing a purple car. Heck I would die for a purple car instead of yellow. The reason I say that is yellow doesn’t fit the vibe because yellow=happy and you’re not happy in the Black Forest, while purple represents mystery and such. But that’s just my opinion.
Also hi I’m kinda new. I’ve been watching this board for a while and I’ve finally decided to finally chat. Verbolten’s my fave and I’m excited for the new theming.
For real. Frau Hexel sucks

Does anyone know if they are retiring the green train? I saw in some pictures that the green train was in pieces in the station.

This time around is a little different since it’s essentially a new attraction this time so it should have all 5 available come opening.
Anyone know if it's planned to actually run all 5? Not sure when the last time Verbolten has done that is.

I knew a guy who was a former supervisor in Verbolten's area who mentioned to me years ago that Park Ops higher-ups don't allow all 5 to be run at Verbolten, I believe he said this was because when the fifth stacks on the block brakes overlooking the Rhine River, occasionally the front row will stop in a way where it's partially hanging over the drop, which higher-ups wanted to avoid. Unsure if it's true, but he generally knew what he was talking about so I tend to believe him.

Either they'll have to reprogram the ride so that doesn't happen, the guy who told me this was completely wrong, or the Park Ops higher-ups will need to change their mind. This was also several years ago now so even if true at the time, things could very easily have already changed. Just thought I'd throw this out there, it'll be interesting to see if they do run all 5 though.

Edit: I believe what I said above is actually wrong, he either didn't know what he was talking about after all, or I may have misunderstood what he was saying or could just be misremembering

As a smaller note, it would be logistically annoying because the trains don't return to the same station they departed from with 5 trains, which would cause a bit of chaos with the item baskets they provide.

I thought that was the reason they stopped running all 5, based on what I heard from someone who used to work at the ride when I interned there. Plus, since there’s three holding areas behind the station (which holds two trains) that should be enough to stack all 5 trains in line without having one stop on the brake overlooking the Rhine, no?

If station one dispaces, and station two fails to dispach, the fifth train will be stuck away at the bridge.
I would be in favor of the loose articles bins being removed, not only does it give the excuse not to run five trains, but it slows down loading. Not having loose articals bins would not be so unpopular if they would stop charging for lockers.
With Vorbolton running up to ten months a year, the only way five train operations could return consistently is if a sixth train is acquired. (Especially unlikely adding a new storage track would not be trivial.)

Only if the train ahead hasn’t cleared the sloped brakes on the final brake run. All 5 trains can be held along that straight segment of track—Station 1, Station 2, Transfer, Hold, Final Brakes. It would require a train failing to advance from Final Brakes into Hold to stop on the bridge.

From what I've heard, an entrance sign should be returning very soon. Not sure if it will be a reimagined version of the former sign or a completely new one, either way, I was told work was being done on Sunday. It'll have a new location in front of the car.

When it's all finished, it should look like the car has crashed into the wall and sign.

Is the track extension the moving piece or the arrow above the gnome hand (looks like it’s separated at hand section)
