Let me specify: comfortable for being an SLC.No I wouldn't call Skywinder comfortable.

Objectively speaking it isn’t a bad fit but KD getting an SLC feels like an idea from r/rollercoasterjerkUnpopular opinion incoming: SFA’s SLC is surprisingly comfortable and would fill the inverted hole in KD’s lineup.
If we're going to bring in a chain from Ohio, my vote goes to Tom + Chee.I would like Dogwood's to be replaced by Skyline Chili but that's not gonna happen.
Do not touch grizzly, it is perfect as is.Newer trains for Grizzly, perhaps, from Roar. Unfortunately Wild One didn't have 4 trains for Racer.
I've had 2 rides on it. One time was a full train, and it was quite good. My other ride I was one of maybe 3 people and it was so rough it wasn't even funny. No I wouldn't call Skywinder comfortable.
that would be the greatest April fools prank by the park if they did it and if they gonna place it, it gonna be where anaconda used to beHey, if they did actually get the SLC for whatever godforsaken reason, it would actually run both trains regularly at KD. The question though, is where would they put it?
Could they do a Great Nor'Easter and retrack it first? The SLC isn't a bad layout when its smooth.that would be the greatest April fools prank by the park if they did it and if they gonna place it, it gonna be where anaconda used to be
It's not being relocated in fact it's only survived as long as it has becsuse the site it sites on was declassified after it was build as wetland habitat and nothing elsr can be built there if it's removed otherwise the park would have closed it for redevelopment years ago.Unpopular opinion incoming: SFA’s SLC is surprisingly comfortable and would fill the inverted hole in KD’s lineup.
I think KD would be out of the running if they do save Wild One, since we already basically have the dueling coaster version of itI feel like they could take a few flats like the teacups and rodeo and maybe that riddler rotor? (Idk if that is in good operational order) and using the xtreme skyflyer and go karts plots they could make a little Grizzly Gulch area, maybe even put the statue back in the middle of the plaza like it originally was.
Of course there’s always my crazier (and much much less realistic) option…

I just don’t see the coasters from sfa being relocated realistically though, all the steel ones seem close or past their serviceable life and the cost to move a big coaster like that is way too much for something that may not last long. If I remember correctly Dominator was pushing 10 million to move just for all the footers and making the area presentable. Definitely worth it for a newer ride but for something so old it just isn’t cost effective. Technically it would be cheaper to move wild one than some of those steel coasters lol (ride of steel especially).
They're going to replace the left side of rebel yell(aka racer 75) with wild one.since we already basically have the dueling coaster version of it
I think the only reason Morey's Piers went with a retrack is since they already had it, and it fit in the tight space they had and was built around other structures. The cost to retrack and relocate an SLC is probably not worth it when they could just build a new STC and have a brand new ride on their hands for not that much moreCould they do a Great Nor'Easter and retrack it first? They have gonr from it taking 28 years to get a ride ruff to being able to do it on opening day. That is a huge change. What evolution?
C'mon now, Rapterra is not "rough," at least in the front. Is it a little bumpy? Sure, but I wouldn't say "rough."They have gonr from it taking 28 years to get a ride ruff to being able to do it on opening day. That is a huge change.
Nah it's rough on any outer seat. It hurts my lower back every single time. Especially over the pathway part for some odd reason.C'mon now, Rapterra is not "rough," at least in the front. Is it a little bumpy? Sure, but I wouldn't say "rough."
Weird. I didn't experience that in the outer seats on either side of the front row, or the back row for that matter, during my rides a few weeks ago. I find Dominator to be a lot rougher.Nah it's rough on any outer seat. It hurts my lower back every single time. Especially over the pathway part for some odd reason.
We all got diff tastes in things. Me and my wife find rapterra a 1 and done. I used ti be on the side of Rapterra being over exaggerated rough but after my last like 6 rides I never have the urge to wanna do it more than once. We both love dominator and I dont't find dominator rough at all. It has a little shake through the corkscrews but my head never bangs the restraint. Id honestly genuinly rather marathon flight of fear over Rapterra.Weird.
