Apparently the SLC at Wild Adventures is one of the better ones, even with the old trains. Not sure how, but that’s what I’ve heard.

That was not my experience on Twisted Typhoon lol

The Boomerang needed some love. When I last rode it, I slapped a good chunk of tree branches by keeping my hands up and the train was overshooting the station by quite a bit.
That's interesting, when did you ride it? I'm 6'5 and I've never had that problem. I've also not heard of it overshooting constantly

I believe it was the second-to-last day of the operating season. The palm tree going into the cobra roll was massively overgrown, and if you put your hands up from the right side of the train even a little bit you would absolutely smack the hell out of it haha.

The trains were definitely overshooting. Normally on the return through the station it brakes hard enough that the front car barely gets any incline, but this time the entire front car was hitting the max angle of the lift before rolling back down into the station with a lot of braking force - like, a LOT. It would eventually park correctly, but only after about 3-4 stop and rolls.

I can’t say if it was happening all day or not, but the enthusiast in me thought it was pretty janky. I tend to like janky rides though, so I honestly thought it was kinda funny and cool to experience.

That said, the overall ride experience wasn’t any worse than other original Boomerangs I’ve ridden. I wouldn’t call it smooth at all - people around my height (5’9”) are definitely prone to getting their ears slammed into the restraints. That’s a common issue for me on OG Boomerang trains in general.
