Yeah, it'll probably be that parking lot. I didn't realize Justice League is in that box I drew in the previous post. Hopefully they can integrate it into the park nicely.

My comment was meant to be a joke/sarcasm not necessarily to correct.

Were we sure TODAY was the Six Flags Mexico announcement? I don't know where the source of this photo was (maybe from one of their social media pages), but apparently, August 22 might have been the intended date for a announcement (new coaster or fright fest or something else)... maybe... ???

I think all of the teasing is for the DCeased. That screenshot was at the end of a video the park posted. SFGAm's park president said Fright Fest announcements will be next week.

"visitors to Six Flags Mexico will have access to a special exclusive maze based on DCeased, the bestselling comic series from DC Comics.

DCeased - Based on the #1 best selling comic series, fans enter through the Hall of Justice to find that the DC Universe has succumbed to Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation! See the Justice League like never before, as they fight to save the Earth or end it themselves. Will you be one of the few to survive these new scares of the DC Universe?"

Back in July, they released a statement saying that they were changing their plans to accommodate environmental requests (different location for coaster). They also mentioned it was a 25th anniversary project which corresponds with 2025. That being said, if they are having to pivot plans and survey and permit for a different site - it's plausible that delay was incurred that pushed the potential opening mid/late-season 2025.

EDIT: They have been teasing an announcement 8/22. The latest one featured Cyborg and the previous one featured Harley Quinn. Unclear if related to a new ride or something else (Fright Fest related, given the tone of the teasers?)

Not a single tree will be cut down for new attraction: Six Flags

Six Flags Mexico has always complied with current environmental laws. We are pleased to report that we have found a solution that responds to the request of the authorities and the feelings of the neighbors, always in favor of the environment. We reaffirm our commitment to Mexico City and assure that no trees will be felled for the installation of a new Roller Coaster, which will be relocated to another area of the park.

The objective of the neighborhood consultation proposed by the authorities is to know the feelings of the community and address them.

We are excited about our new and unique Roller Coaster, to celebrate our 25th anniversary in Mexico, improving the city's tourism offering and generating jobs, especially for the inhabitants of Tlalpan.

Six Flags reaffirms its commitment to being an entertainment option for thousands of families in Mexico

I did some digging and there was more pushback from the Mayor of Tlalpan. It appears traffic is now a problem.

"We are pleased to know that they are withdrawing their proposal to cut down the trees.
We must be careful that the new proposal does not affect traffic in the area, which is already extremely congested.
The topic is not concluded."
